Medicinska Föreningen i Stockholm is one of two student unions at Karolinska Institutet. See you soon!

Medicinska Föreningen (MF) is your student union at Karolinska Institutet (KI). The purpose of MF is to unite the students of KI, to promote the studies of medical sciences, to look after the members’ common interests and to generate and maintain good friendship among the members. Membership in the student union gives you the unique chance to participate in the important work with student influence at KI - we make sure that students are involved in decisions made at KI that affect us and our education. You also get to be a part of your section and can join a committee, commission or association to boost your student life to a maximum! Together we make our time at KI one of the most life-defining periods of our lives. Are you thorough – and curious about how a student union works from the inside?

We are looking for Internal Auditors (sakrevisorer: two auditors and two deputies) and Foundation Auditors – one auditor and one deputy for each of the four foundations MF manages. The auditors review MF's activities, accounts and management and make sure everything is done correctly.

The Nomination Committee (Valberedningen) prepares the elections of the positions of trust and student representative positions that the Council (FuM) carries out: announcing the positions, collecting candidacies and presenting nominations to FuM.

Help carry our traditions forward! 🕯

We are looking for a Standard Bearer, a Hostess and a Grave Caretaker. These honorary positions are about sittings, balls, hospitality and looking after a meaningful part of MF's history – including MF's grave site, Axel Westermark's grave and the torchlight procession on All Souls' Day.

Do you want to lead the meetings of our highest decision-making body?

A position of trust in Medicinska Föreningen is both great fun and a real responsibility. You get a network and experience you won't find in a lecture hall – and a real chance to shape student life at KI.

Framtidens Kårhus presenterar Onsdags AW "UPSTAIRS" i Klubbvåningen.
Öppnar 7 oktober. Varje onsdag 16.00-20.00.
Öppet för studenter, KI:s personal och alla i Hagastaden.
Enstaka onsdagar bjuder vi in en gäst värd att sätta sig ner med: inget program, bara ett föredrag, en öl och samtal. Andra onsdagar blir det frågequiz eller Fallet i baren, en mordgåta att lösa. Svenska och engelska.

Framtidens Kårhus presents Onsdags AW "UPSTAIRS" in Klubbvåningen.
Opens October 7. Every Wednesday 4-8 pm.
Open to students, KI staff, and everyone in Hagastaden.
Some Wednesdays we invite a guest worth sitting down with: no program, just a talk, a b**r and conversation. Other Wednesdays it's a pub quiz or The Case at the Bar, a murder mystery to solve. In Swedish and English.

Ett stipendium finns för dig som ska på studieresa och ett stipendium är för medlemmar med ekonomiska behov för studierna. Sista ansökningsdag är 15e november.

The timeline for the Autumn Election is here.

Ahead of the election, Medicinska Föreningen is preparing to open nominations
for several Positions of Trust — including the Union Board, Speaker & Vice
Speaker, ceremonial roles, auditors, and committees.

Good to know this time: Due to the transition to a split operational year, many
of the positions elected this autumn will serve a shortened 6-month term (1 January – 30 June).

The Timeline:

📌 12 October: Call for applications opens

📌 ~11 November: Nominations deadline

📌 21 November (11:00–16:00): Election FuM at the Union House in Solna
