We take a moment to consider refugees’ mental wellbeing on today’s occasion of

The aim of InterAct is to contribute and to support psychosocial wellbeing of vulnerable groups, and in particular refugees, through interdisciplinary cooperation.

InterAct is going to share its vision and results during several online Multiplier Events in November and December about psychosocial wellbeing.

Even though we did not meet in as originally planned, we had the opportunity to schedule and complete online the 5th Partners’ Meeting on the 21st and 22nd of September.

October is the month when we are going to finalise our , ’s and . The dissemination will involve the organisation of educational seminars in Germany, Sweden, Greece and Spain.

We proceed in the final phase of the InterAct - Interdisciplinary Cooperation in Psychosocial Interventions project full of inspiration, energy and enthusiasm for the upcoming intense months. So grateful to be part of this creative synergy!

The morning before was burnt, on September 8th 2020, a demonstration organised by civil society representatives Seebrücke - Schafft sichere Häfen and Sea-Watch took place in Berlin, where 13,000 chairs were placed in front of the German parliament.

Under the hashtag, the message sent was that there is room in Europe for the 13,000 refugees living in inhumane conditions in premises which could only hold one third of the above mentioned capacity. Moria camp in the Greek island of **os was burnt on the very same evening.

As a refugee - focused project, InterAct - Interdisciplinary Cooperation in Psychosocial Interventions Erasmus+ expresses its full with during this humanitarian crisis still unfolding before our eyes. Incidents as the Moria camp fire underline the need for programmes like InterAct, aiming at interconnecting good practices and establishing further collaboration between of the , as well as presenting scientific results that can be used in assisting them with redesigning relevant .

Ahead of one of the program's Multiplier Events, students attending "InterAct: Interdisciplinary Cooperation in Psychosocial Interventions" in IB Hochschule, IB University of Applied Health and Social Sciences in Berlin are putting together a very interesting video based on the learning teaching events they attended the previous year. What will the outcome be? Watch and find out.

Eirini Adamopoulou (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Margarita Mondaca (Karolinska Institutet) recently completed a workshop on "Cultural sensitivity in the context of migration and diversity" along with a team of 20 international students of Psychology, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy (Chile, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, USA, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands).

The workshop took place in the context of the International Week and Community Based Rehabilitation course organised by Karolinska Institutet each year.

Even though from a distance, we were able to Inter-Act and bridge our cultural differences. We wish to thank everyone for their participation!
