These five MIT students worked for the last eight weeks in research internships at KTH. The exchange program matched students from both universities with leading researchers in their fields. Here's how one of them spent the summer setting traps for cyber attackers at the Royal Hacking Lab.

EM-guld till två idrottsstjärnor på KTH! 🥇

Stort grattis till Andreas Almgren och Elmer Andersson, som båda tog hem EM-guld i helgen! Andreas Almgren tog ett historiskt svensk EM-guld när han slog mästerskapsrekord på 10 000 meter i EM i friidrott. Elmer Andersson blev Europamästare i beachvolleyboll tillsammans med lagkamraten Jacob Hölting Nilsson.

Andreas Almgren går civilingenjörsprogram i industriell ekonomi på KTH och har nått masternivå. Just nu gör han uppehåll i sina studier för att satsa fullt ut på sin idrottskarriär. Elmer Andersson är aktiv KTH-student och läser sitt andra år på civilingenjörsprogrammet i industriell ekonomi.

Två imponerande prestationer – och två exempel på att det går att kombinera elitidrott och studier på KTH. 💙

This week, KTH welcomes all new students with singing, dancing and student traditions as the different sections greet the newest members of our community.

Even KTH President Anders Söderholm was welcomed through a student tunnel. A warm welcome to everyone starting their journey at KTH! 💙

Ett varmt tack till Erling-Persson Foundation för över 25 års filantropiskt engagemang i forskning vid KTH – senast genom en donation på 35 miljoner kronor till KTH:s kungliga jubileumsprofessur i grön omställning.

Under åren har stiftelsen stöttat allt från utbildningsinsatser som Mattecoach till avancerad forskning inom medicin, teknik och hållbar utveckling. En viktig anledning är KTH:s förmåga att samla forskare från olika discipliner kring gemensamma samhällsutmaningar – något som Stefan Persson, stiftelsens ordförande, lyfter fram som en nyckel till framgång.

I en intervju berättar han om drivkrafterna bakom stiftelsens långsiktiga engagemang och varför forskning och samarbeten över ämnesgränserna är avgörande för framtidens lösningar.

What are we going to eat in space? That’s what KTH doctoral student Tor Blomqvist wants to find out. 🥗🚀

“It’s not just about food as a product, but about creating an entire food system in space. That means you must consider all aspects relating to human beings as well, such as psychology. Because food is more than just nutrition. You can’t force-feed people disgusting food,” Blomqvist says.

KTH ranked second-best university in Sweden and 82nd in world in the 2027 QS World University Ranking 🥳🔥🏫

Once again, MIT ranks highest in the world, whilst Imperial College London takes first place in Europe. KTH is the 11th best university in the European Union and ranks 27th in Europe.

The QS World University Rankings are issued each June, providing students worldwide with an evaluation of leading universities. 1,504 universities were rated according to numerous weighted metrics, or indicators, among them: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.
