Most ANSPs are trying to answer the same question:
How do we improve student outcomes without lowering standards?

The answer is rarely found at the point where the problem first becomes visible.

In this interview, Ulla-Britt Jeppesen, Head of Training at Entry Point North, talks about the full training journey and where organisations may need to look if they want stronger results.

A relevant read for anyone working with training, operations or competence development.

Reflections from Airspace World 2026.

One of the strongest themes we took from Lisbon was the need to look at ATS training as a whole system.

Across the industry, many organisations are working with the same practical questions: how to train enough people, how to use instructor time where it matters most, how to support students better, and how to make decisions based on what is actually happening in training.

For us, that is where the conversation becomes interesting.

Training outcomes are rarely improved by changing one isolated part of the process. They depend on the right combination of training design, instructor support, simulator-based learning, online solutions, clear standards and a good understanding of each organisation’s operational reality.

At , we had many valuable discussions about ATC, ATSEP and FIS training, and how different training setups can support different needs.

If your organisation is looking at future training capacity, student outcomes or the role of online and simulator-based training, contact us to continue the conversation.

A big congratulations to Pfungwa Chiweshe, Ryan Twomey, Daniel Mulcahy and Emma Gaynor, who successfully completed their Pre OJT TARO AMS course today.

This marks a special milestone as it was the first course developed and delivered by EPNI for North Atlantic Communications, following our takeover of their training programme earlier this year.

Throughout the course, the trainees showed fantastic dedication, determination, resilience and focus, setting a high standard for future groups.

They’ll be moving on to OJT in the coming weeks, where they’ll continue building their skills in a live environment.
Well done to all four — a great achievement! ✈️

A big thank you to instructors Tricia, Cillian, Tom and Joe for their hard work and commitment in supporting the students throughout the 13 weeks of training.

Last people standing.

We are packing up stand H1-D74 after three busy days at 2026 in Lisbon.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a meeting, a demo, a chat, a coffee or some Swedish lösgodis. We have had great conversations with customers, partners and industry colleagues from across the ATM community.

Now the stand is coming down, the candy boxes are empty, and the team is heading home with tired feet and plenty of good follow-ups.

Our stand neighbours clearly enjoyed the Swedish lösgodis too. By the time we started packing, the candy boxes had been cleared out, and one of our plants had even found a new home.

Thank you, Lisbon. See you next time.

Flexibility isn’t just something we offer — it’s who we are. We adapt, we listen, and we shape our training around you, not the other way around. Because great learning doesn’t happen in rigid boxes — it happens when there’s room to move, adjust, and grow.
With us, flexibility isn’t a feature. It’s the foundation.
