MDR at Uppsala University (Medical PhD Student Council)

MDR at Uppsala University (Medical PhD Student Council) MDR is a council of Ph.D. students from the Medical Faculty at Uppsala University. MDR works to represent the interests of Ph.D.

MDR's primary task is to deal with issues relating to the postgraduate education and work-related economic and social rights. The medical PhD student council, MDR, consists of PhD student’s representatives from all departments within the medical faculty, together with a ‘presidium’ with special duties. MDR is a subsidiary of Doktorandnämnden (The doctoral board), see https://dn.uppsalastudentkar.

se/ for more information. The MDR’s principal task is to monitor and question issues associated with PhD studies, as well as those associated with work-related economic and social rights. The MDR appoints a number of PhD student representatives for faculty boards and committees, e.g. the forskarutbildnings (PhD studies) committee, which directly handles issues surrounding education at research level. There are amazing segment about managing your mental health while doing your PhD.

You also have a chance to present a poster and get 1 credit for your PhD studies.
