THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM 2024 🎓🍀
Seize the opportunity to learn more about the professional world!
Are you a student at the Politices program and contemplating career opportunities and the job market after your studies?
Are you an alumni, who has just found your first job or already has plenty of work experience?
Either way, you are welcome to participate as a mentor and help a student with career thoughts while developing your leadership and communication skills! Perhaps your experiences and feedback can help a student shape their future?
The transition from student life to the professional world can often be challenging, and with a broad educational foundation, the choice of career path is far from straightforward.
Today, alumni from the program can be found in various sectors of society, both in Sweden and abroad. Previous mentors have worked in the Government Offices, Swedish and foreign authorities, the Central Bank, research, and non-governmental organizations.
To promote contact and exchange between current students and alumni from the Politices program (bachelor’s and master's), Uppsala Politicesalumnis presents the Mentorship Program 2024!
We aim to match mentors and mentees based on interests and aspirations within a relevant professional field. Even if you're unsure about your career path, mentorship is an excellent opportunity to explore various possibilities.
The program's structure is flexible, and participating parties agree on the content, frequency, and preferred communication channels. Initially, we recommend 1–2 meetings between mentor and mentee, either in-person or via video/phone calls.
The Alumni Association provides support throughout the mentorship. We hope the opportunity can contribute to mutual learning and the exchange of perspectives and ideas for personal and professional development.
