Apply to the ESN Växjö board !
ESN Växjö is now looking for new board members for the next mandate year!
We are looking for both Swedish students and international students!
Are you:
An internationally minded person?
Interested in culture sharing?
Interested in travelling and meeting new people?
Interested in communication, marketing, event and trips planning, finance and/or IT?
Interested in getting valuable skills and qualifications for your future working life, as well to enrich your CV and improving your soft skills?
Are your answers yes? Then YOU should apply to the board!
Preferably you will study at least this Autumn and Spring semester 2026/2027 at Linnaeus University. You can work independently and in teams, and are interested in internationalization. You're interested in being part of a student community, and doing nice things for others.
ESN Växjö is part of ESN (Erasmus Student Network) - the biggest international student organisation in Europe active in 40 countries and represented in more than 500 sections - all similar to ESN Växjö. As a board member you’ll develop yourself personally and professionally, get a lot of international experience and have a great time!
Send your CV and a motivation letter to [email protected] before the 15th of October and choose two positions you're interested in. Later, the Election Committee will conduct interviews and then suggest suitable candidates.
All these positions are open to apply for!
- President*
Mobilize board meetings and lead them, handle continuous contact with the student coordinator, the Student Union, Linnaeus University (Linnekåren) and other remaining student organizations.
-Vice President
Is in charge of developing an action plan, in consultation with the board, responsible for the internal organization and to carry out the tasks of the Local Representative, have conduct the contact between ESN Växjö and other ESN sections as well as the contact between ESN Växjö and the board of ESN Sweden and board of ESN International.
-Treasurer*
Shall present the economic situation of ESN Växjö to the ESN Växjö board at least once a month, and is responsible for board members to have good transparency in the ESN Växjö economy. Has, together with the president, overall responsibility for the ESN Växjö economy, Is an authorized signatory, and due to that, has the right to sign agreements
-Partnership Manager
Is responsible for sending out emails to potential partners showing the benefits of being partnered with an ESN Section. Finding partners for ESN Växjö and keeping up with our agreement with them at the beginning of the semester and finding sponsors for our parties and events.
-Secretary
Writes the protocols for the meetings and is responsible for these to be available for the board no later than four days after the board meeting. The secretary is also responsible for putting together, revising and updating a document concerning routines for the office, sign-ups, trips, activities and meetings which each board members shall possess
- Marketing Coordinator
Is responsible for planning and carrying out all marketing efforts. This includes online and offline marketing activities. Collaborates closely with the Media Committee Coordinator to ensure a smooth working process and to make sure all material is in accordance with ESN VIM. Can benefit from the assistance of the Media committee for the marketing activities. Should be in continuous conversation with the ACC regarding marketing for planned events.
-Media Committee Coordinator
Collaborates closely with the Marketing Responsible to ensure a smooth working process and to make sure all material is in accordance with ESN VIM. Is responsible for creating promotional material, both online and offline together with the media committee. This includes flyers, videos, photo material, digital material and patches.Should make sure that all MC members are well aware of the statutes and policies of ESN Växjö.
-Activity committee coordinator
Is responsible for planning and organizing theme parties and events. Should organize at least 3 activities throughout a semester, together with the AC, it is responsible for actively working towards the continuation of a strong and well functioning AC. Should function as a president for the committee and should be able to inform the board about their work and make sure that all AC members are well aware of the statutes and policies of ESN Växjö
-Sports committee Coordinator
Is responsible for planning and conducting sport arrangements for the members of ESN Växjö, for example the weekly Sport Saturdays and different tournaments. Is responsible for maintaining contact with VUGI and is responsible for actively working towards the continuation of a strong and well functioning SC.
-Booking and Traveling Responsible
Is responsible for the booking, or delegation of booking, for example, bus travel, accommodation and facilities for activities. Must undergo the training from Linnaeus University that is necessary for booking rooms and facilities in the university buildings. Shall propose a suggestion and update the activity schedule for the coming semester
-WPA
Has the primary responsibility for the ESN Växjö website, the Google Drive, ESN Växjö e-mail addresses and contact with the WPA of ESN Sweden. Is responsible for keeping a register over all the members, and making sure it is always up-to-date and is responsible for creating, and maintaining sign-up lists for every event
-Slottsstallarna Responsible
Shall conduct the contact between Slottsstallarna and ESN Växjö as an affiliate organization. The responsibility includes managing the membership through arranging workers on the nights when ESN Växjö is responsible. Should aim for at least 2 working leaders from ESN Växjö, and should be one themselves. Is responsible, together with the MR, for finding workers for ESN Växjö's own events in Slottsstallarna.
The Office Responsible:
Is responsible for organising cleaning days for the office and making sure board members and helpers are aware of these dates. Is responsible for organising the delivery of supplies the board needs, either for an event or office supplies. Is responsible for the tent, managing it, helping set it up and giving clear instructions on how to set it up and down. Is responsible for small repairs around the office. Is responsible for organising office hours
Supplies Responsible:
Is responsible for inventory and the overall organisation of the office supplies, products and things ESN has around the office. Make a list of supplies needed for the office to run. Is responsible for the flag. Is responsible for opening and closing the office when events happen, if the Supplies Responsible is not available, they are responsible for organising who does it. Is responsible for the overalls.
