A buzzing and vibrant weekend for our GICC Performing Arts students!

Our talented students had the honour of performing at the Sri Guru Raghavendra Temple on the auspicious occasion of Aradhana Mahotsava 2026. The performances, featured on August 1 & 2, included:

✨ Bharatanatyam – Pushpanjali & Jathiswaram
✨ Kathak – Tarana
✨ Odissi – Mangalacharan & Saveri Pallavi
✨ Hindustani Vocal – Devotional bhajans

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the temple authorities for providing our students with this wonderful platform to present their talent and devotion.

A special thank you to our dedicated Gurus - Ms. Sucheta Bhattacharya, Ms. Chitra Shankar, Ms. Srabonti Dutta and Ms. Bhupali Kulkarni for their guidance, encouragement and support.

We are proud of our students for representing GICC with such grace and discipline.

GICC Odissi and Kathak students delivered captivating performances at the Zak Salaam India Expo on Sunday, 19 July. Their graceful movements, mesmerising expressions, and beautiful traditional costumes lit up the atmosphere and were warmly appreciated by the audience.

We are delighted to share a few glimpses from this memorable event.

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers for providing this wonderful platform for GICC students. Our sincere gratitude also goes to our Gurus, Ms. Srabonti Dutta and Ms. Bhupali Kulkarni for their dedication in nurturing and guiding the students, and to the parents for their constant encouragement and support.

🎨✨ Celebrating a Proud Achievement! ✨🎨

We are delighted to share that Manasvi Badari, a student of GICC Visual Arts, has been selected among the Top 12 winners of the Young Artists Art Competition 2026, held as part of the “Pause to Begin” exhibition at ION Art Gallery.

This remarkable achievement reflects Manasvi's creativity, dedication, and passion for the arts. We are proud to see our students receiving recognition on such a prestigious platform and wish her continued success in all her future artistic endeavours.

A special note of appreciation to GICC Visual Arts Teacher, Ms. Sudipta Das for her guidance, encouragement, and dedication in nurturing young talent. Her mentorship and support have played an important role in helping Manasvi develop her artistic abilities and achieve this milestone.

🏃‍♂️🏀🏏 GICC June Holiday Sports Workshops concluded successfully today after 4 days of engaging and enriching sessions!

Participants across Athletics, Basketball and Cricket enjoyed a fun-filled and enriching experience focused on skill development, fitness, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. Through structured training sessions, drills, and game-based activities, students strengthened their fundamentals while building confidence and making new friendships.

We thank our coaches – Mr. Jerald Jeganathan & Mr. Munish Arora for their dedication, guidance and encouragement. We also thank our participants for their enthusiasm and active participation which made the workshops a great success.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for our regular term programmes starting 11th July.

GICC Theatre & Performance students proudly presented their very first showcase - The Lost Astra.
The students brought the story to life with enthusiasm, confidence, and creativity, making the performance a truly memorable experience. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.

A special thank you to Ms. Ashie Singh for her passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment in mentoring the students and guiding them towards a successful production.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Mrs. Aparna Temurnikar, Ms. Sarita Alurkar (Senior Director & Head, GICC), and Ms. Melissa Maria for their support, encouragement and presence at the showcase.

Our Odissi students had the honour of performing at the Citizenship Ceremony of Chua Chu Kang GRC and Bukit Gombak SMC, held on 30th May. The event was graced by Hon’ble Minister for Manpower, Dr. Tan See Leng.

Their performance on ‘Rupang Dehi Jayang Dehi’ was presented as a tribute to the strength, courage, and resilience of women - highlighting their vital role in shaping the nation and upholding the values of unity, freedom, and equality. The performance was warmly received and applauded by all present.

We extend our sincere thanks to Constituency Manager of Chua Chu Kang GRC, Mr. Tasnim, for the kind opportunity, and our heartfelt appreciation to Guru Srabonti Dutta for her dedicated guidance and continued support of our students.

Through engaging storytelling activities, children will explore creativity, imagination, voice modulation, stage confidence and expressive speaking in a fun and interactive environment.

A seasoned storytelling coach with over 30 years of experience in early childhood and primary education.

Proud moments from the Odissi Festival 2026 ✨

Our Odissi Guru, Ms. Srabonti Dutta, and her students - Aarika Vombatkere, Neeti Upadhye & Twisha Umesh performed at the festival on 23rd May and captivated the audience with their beautiful and graceful presentations. Their performances – ‘Poetry of Pallavi & Abhinaya’ were warmly applauded and appreciated by all present 🌸

We are proud of our students and thankful to Guru Ms. Srabonti Dutta for her dedication, guidance and commitment in nurturing and promoting the classical art form of Odissi 🙏
