Kicking off the NUS HumanITy Challenge 2025! 💡
We were thrilled to welcome a full house this morning at the launch of the NUS HumanITy Challenge 2025, hosted by our Department. Over 240 students from 21 pre-university, JC, and polytechnic institutions gathered to explore how IT and technology can be used to tackle society’s sustainability challenges for humanity, and in particular for this year’s theme — Good Health & Well-Being: Creating a healthy, joyful & connected society!
From inspiring keynote speeches by leaders from SingHealth, the Health Promotion Board, and our Department, to the energy and enthusiasm of our young participants, the launch event set the stage for a month of innovation and impact.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us — especially the students and teachers from participating schools, our Guest of Honour, Prof Lee Chien Earn from SingHealth, invited industry speaker Dr Terence Ng from HPB, and the wonderful staff of the NUS Healthcare Informatics Research Lab and NUS Augmented Human Lab!
We look forward to seeing the creative solutions our young changemakers will present at the Finals on 10 May 2025!
