On 1 August 2026, NTU Graduate College celebrated the achievements of its PhD graduates at the inaugural PhD Conferment Ceremony.

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Shou Zi Chew, CEO of TikTok, and Dr. Aaron Ciechanover, 2004 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and Distinguished Research Professor at Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, who delivered inspiring addresses to our graduating cohort. Their messages encouraged our graduates to pursue bold ideas, embrace curiosity, and create meaningful impact through their work.

We were honoured to welcome 2004 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Dr. Aaron Ciechanover, Distinguished Research Professor at Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, as a speaker at our PhD Conferment Ceremony on 1 August 2026.

In his address, Dr. Ciechanover encouraged our graduates to pursue work that brings purpose and fulfilment, reminding us that true success lies not in wealth or status, but in the meaningful contributions we make to the world.

That’s a wrap for the Asian Science and Technology Pioneering Institutes of Research and Education (ASPIRE) League Forum 2026! 🎉

Held from 6–10 July at NTU, this year's programme brought postgraduate students together to tackle the theme, "Active Ageing: Interdisciplinary Solutions for Longevity and Wellbeing."
