We're back with another year of Automation SolutionGO! x Regional Industry Networking Conference (RINC) 2026! 🤩

Co-organised by Singapore Polytechnic and AutomationSG 🤝, this two-day industry conference brings together industry leaders and practitioners to share practical perspectives on technology adoption, workforce readiness, and business transformation. Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and curated breakout tracks, participants will gain insights into translating innovation into real-world outcomes that support productivity, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.

What happens when your classroom moves to Chongqing? 🌏💻

Our School of Computing (SoC) students recently headed to Chongqing for an overseas study trip, and Afreed, Y3 Student Diploma in Information Technology (now known as Diploma in Computer Science (DCS)) came back seeing tech in a whole new way! 🤩

From neuroscience to smart vehicles and large-scale IoT systems, the trip gave students a closer look at how technology is being used across different industries in China.

Beyond the industry visits, there was also enjoying local delicacies, strolling through the city views, cultural discoveries and plenty of fun moments along the way.

Huge congrats to Team techmonkeys (Jonathan, Miko, Julian, and Siyuan) for clinching 2nd place in the Workato track! 🤖🚗

The team developed AutoLot Assistant, an AI-powered platform leveraging real-time data from data.gov.sg to help drivers find available parking across 99% of Singapore’s HDB carparks. This could reduce unnecessary driving and lowering carbon emissions. 🌿🚘

💬 "What i learnt in SP was helpful as it basically laid out the foundations of what I should know before coming into this competition, like coding, basic API knowledge, and databases. In addition, we were also taught how to use AI responsibly and to perform critical thinking when needed to solve and troubleshoot problems.” - Siyuan

Meet Justin, our Diploma in Biomedical Science (DBS) alumni who just received the Harvard Prize Book 2026! 🥇

For Justin, his SP journey was more than just about acing his studies. From presenting his research at the Young Scientists Symposium to volunteering with Sengkang General Hospital’s Night Watchers programme, every experience helped shape his passion for science, service and better patient care. 🥰

Along the way, he also learnt that success is a marathon, not a sprint (thanks to the wise words of his mentor), and that pursuing excellence means knowing when to slow down, find your own pace and don’t measure your progress against someone else’s.😊

The award is impressive, but the journey behind it? Even better. 👀🎉

When you look at Keng Yeow's portfolio, you might wonder if he secretly discovered a 25th hour in the day 🕒 From serving as the SPSU Council President and EEE Club President, to being Vice President of SP Infocomm Club, competing in the RoboCup overseas, supporting our Poly50, and even picking up a guitar from scratch to perform at the SP Arts Fiesta, his poly experience was the definition of "full out"!

Meet Putri, our alumna from Diploma in Nautical Studies (DNS), whose journey is a testament to resilience, determination and the courage to pursue her dreams 🌊

Before joining SP, Putri built a strong foundation in the maritime industry through ITE's Maritime Business course, which prepared her for polytechnic studies and the demands of a maritime career.

During her cadetship, she spent almost a year at sea, sailing between Singapore, the United States and the Democratic Republic of Congo as the only Singaporean, Muslim and female crew member on board! While adapting to unfamiliar cultures and life at sea wasn't always easy, the experience strengthened her resilience, confidence and ability to thrive in diverse environments 🫡🌟

Now interning with OSM Thome, Putri sees her graduation from SP as more than just an academic milestone, it's a reflection of her perseverance, personal growth and unwavering commitment to a career in the maritime industry!

A week-long trip to Cambodia for a mental health service-learning project? Sign me up! 😊🖐️

That's what some of our SP Media, Arts & Design School (MAD) students said when this opportunity arose as it allowed them to use their creativity for a meaningful purpose! 🤗 They came up with interesting and fun ways to allow conversations about mental health feel more approachable and memorable for the students in Cambodia.

This collaboration with Singapore International Foundation (SIF) brought meaningful insights on how empathy, creativity and collaboration can strengthen communities across borders. 🤝

GoServe Day 2026! ✨

Recently our Student Services colleagues invited 30 Montfort Care Goodlife Studio seniors to SP, for a day, to experience school life yet again! 🏫😊 They were brought to explore 3 special places at SP.

There were also fun activities provided at each location from free eye check-ups to exploring the insides of aeroplanes and even playing a nostalgic game of yo-yo. Not only were they able to gain new experiences but they were also given the opportunity to relive their younger days! 🥰
