Who says girls can't do science? 👩‍🔬

Dr Vanitha Mariappan sure proved them wrong, after she and her team made headlines on Star2-dot-com for winning the 2019 Small Grant Award from London-based biomedical research charity, Wellcome Trust. 🏆

As if a bachelor's and master's degree in biochemistry wasn't enough, Dr Vanitha went on to get her PhD in medical microbiology. She is now an award-winning researcher working on finding solutions for infectious diseases. 🥇🧪

Completing your Nursing degree isn't the end of your learning journey as a Nurse.

Sure, it might be some 50 years from now—but why wait till you're bent over double and barely able to move before you think about how you're going to live once you hit gramps or grannyhood? 👵 🧓

Contributor Sara Zeff Geber says on Forbes that some people even say things like "They're gonna have to drag me out of here feet first." We don't know about you, but for us, leaving our lifestyle to chance or to the whim of our kids or doctors isn't an option.

You can either age at home: 🏠
• Get a part-time or full-time caregiver
• Modify your bathroom and parts of your home
• Use technology (like online pharmacy apps)

Or age in a retirement community: 🏘
• Help is within easy reach
• Make new friends and try new things
• Boost your chances of living longer

Whichever way you choose to go, we're going to need more and more community care specialists—specially when you think about how we're fast becoming a super aged nation. 👩‍⚕️
