π¨ The world is more connected than everβand so is every crisis. A single post, statement or delayed response can quickly shape public perception and influence how events unfold.
Whether it's a public health emergency, product recall, or viral controversy, effective communication plays a critical role in managing risk and maintaining public trust.
π 's Communicating Risk and Crisis in the Digital Age (NM3252) introduces students to the principles and practice of risk and crisis communication. Through real-world case studies and hands-on activities, students learn how to analyse crises, develop communication strategies, and engage stakeholders across traditional and digital media.
This course will be taught by Assistant Professor Soo Jung Hong, whose research focuses on health and risk communication.
