How can AI help build a digital society where nobody is left behind?
IAS welcomed Ms Liisa-Ly Pakosta from Estonia’s Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs for an insightful discussion on AI and the future of digital states with Welcome Address by Prof Jun Yang from NBS.
Drawing on Estonia’s digital transformation, she explored how public trust, data privacy and human rights guide AI adoption. From digital education across generations to retraining workers for new opportunities, the conversation highlighted the importance of keeping both older and younger generations and their culture at the heart of innovation.
An engaging Q&A moderated by Prof Jack Qiu from WKW further explored AI governance, cultural differences, education and how we should use AI in a more efficient and ethical way in this fast evolving world.
Thank you to our speaker and everyone who joined the conversation!
