Singapore Athletics Instagram: SA currently boasts of a membership comprising of over 50 affiliate institutions.

Since its founding in 1935, the Singapore Athletic Association (SA) has opened its doors to the country’s athletes at the Farrer Park Stadium during the early days of Singapore’s sporting history. Over the years, SA has gone from strength to strength and stands poised to take bold strides in nurturing our sporting talents and work towards a holistic athlete development framework, while making competitive athletics a viable career option. Under the helm of a dynamic team of volunteers and a full-time secretariat, SA aims to continue to build on its rich legacy, and position as the governing body of all things track and field in Singapore. With effect from 1 February 2011, SA is now a charity under the Charities Act as required by the Singapore Sports Council.

On 26 October, five schools will come together for the West Zone Athletics Meet as part of Singapore Athletics’ pilot programme to encourage more young people to experience and get involved in athletics. 🇸🇬

🇸🇬 WELCOME TO SINGAPORE ATHLETICS, COACH RICKY!

We’re pleased to welcome Ricardo “Ricky” Diez Boza as our new Jumps Coach! Ricky will also support our pathway athletes and oversee the development of athletes in combined events. 💪

A former Venezuelan pole vault record holder, two-time South American senior champion and three-time South American junior champion, Ricky brings experience as both an athlete and a coach.

His coaching career spans Singapore, Spain and Venezuela, including developing young athletes at Singapore Sports School since 2018. He has also supported Olympic-level preparation in fencing and basketball, bringing a broad perspective to training and performance.

We look forward to Ricky working with our athletes and coaches across jumps, combined events and our development pathway, helping the next generation take their next step in athletics.

🇸🇬 WELCOME TO SINGAPORE ATHLETICS, REEDUS THURMOND!

We’re delighted to welcome Reedus Thurmond to our coaching team!

Reedus brings extensive experience in shot put, discus and hammer throw, having coached athletes across the United States, Qatar and Thailand.

His coaching achievements include helping athletes win medals at the Asian Championships and Southeast Asian Games. He also developed 14 All-Americans during five years at the University of Washington.

We look forward to the experience and energy he will bring to our throws programme, working with our athletes and coaches to build towards future success.

Singapore Athletics successfully completed the Racewalking Course for our Technical Officials on 10–11 October 2026.

Guided by our senior official, Mr. S. Govindaraju, our officials learned about racewalking rules, judging techniques, and making fair calls. They were also assessed through written, oral and video exam.

🇸🇬 ANOTHER NATIONAL RECORD FOR SHAUN GOH! 🔥

Shaun Goh clocked 30:16 at the Vitality 10000 in London, taking 25 seconds off his own Singapore men’s 10km road record of 30:41, set at Gold Coast in July.

Fresh from his 5km road national record in Copenhagen on 19 September, Shaun has now rewritten the national record books over two distances in less than two weeks!

🇸🇬 A 15-YEAR-OLD NATIONAL RECORD FALLS! 🔥

Oliver Fiore clocked 1:53.59 at the Nagase Cup to set a new Singapore men’s U18 800m national record!

The 17-year-old bettered Zachary Ryan Devaraj’s 2011 mark of 1:54.14, improving his own personal best by more than a second.
