On 17 January this year, ASCEND returned to Taman Jurong Active Ageing Centre for a TinkerCAD & 3D Printing Workshop 🖨️✨

This time, seniors explored the creative side of technology by learning to design their own 3D models using TinkerCAD, and successfully created their very own phone stands! From experimenting with shapes to adjusting sizes and features, the session was filled with focus, problem-solving, and plenty of proud moments.

🌟 On 14 August, LDP held its first Information Session, where the committee shared an overview of the club’s purpose, leadership initiatives, and how members can grow through hands-on experiences, networking opportunities, and skill-building workshops.

We were also honoured to have our Club Advisor, Dr. Heng, who inspired us with valuable insights on how we can grow together, both as individuals and as a community. 🚀

✨ On 6 September 2024, LDP held its second Information Session, where our esteemed Club Advisors, Dr. Heng and Prof. Sridhar, inspired both seasoned and new members with insights on how LDP can empower personal and community growth. 🌟

We were also privileged to have Dr. Sein from STEM for All, who shared innovative ways LDP members can engage the wider community, making STEM accessible to people from all walks of life. 🔬💡

The evening was not only about learning—it was a chance to network, share leadership experiences, and build stronger connections, thanks to the interactive session led by Dr. Heng.

A truly inspiring and enriching evening! 🙌

On 24 February 2024, MAE LDP partnered with Taman Jurong Active Aging Centre to host a workshop on AI Awareness, where we educated curious seniors on unravelling the buzz behind AI, ChatGPT and Deepfakes!

This time, we collaborated with NTU Rotaract on the event. With their experience in engaging with seniors, and LDP's technical knowledge and expertise, the event was a great success and the participants greatly enjoyed themselves

We hope for more collboration opportunities with Rotaract, as well as other NTU student clubs in the future!

On 18 October 2023, LDP had a collaborative workshop with NTU Visual Arts Society ( ), teaching the use of the Fusion 360 as CAD software and getting started with 3D printers to members! We believe that CAD and 3D printing definitely has more than just technical uses and is very much its own form of art too!

At LDP, we want to walk the talk of encouraging our own members to start their own event projects! That is why we are proud to reveal that our workshop presenter Liew, initiated this collaborative workshop. With the help of a team of passionate members, he brought this workshop through every stage of project management from ideation to ex*****on!
