# O-Level Results Release | A Step-by-Step Guide to Interpreting Your Results!
O-Level results are out today!

School candidates collect your result slips from your schools, while private candidates check your results on the SEAB official website.

Remember to verify the information on Form A to ensure there are no errors! ✅

1. First, understand the score conversion rules
- L1R5 score is applicable for Junior College (JC) applications—the lower the score, the more competitive you are.
- L1R2B2 score is a key indicator for JC admissions.
- Polytechnic admissions consider your overall grade profile plus the grades of relevant subjects.
- ITE caters to foundational-level further education. First, identify the pathway that suits you best.

2. 12 Golden Rules for Course Application
Allocate your choices as 2 ambitious options + 5 target options + 5 safety options to make the most of your application slots.
List JCs and popular Polytechnic programmes as your ambitious choices; fill in target choices with institutions matching your scores; always include safety choices to avoid missing out on admission opportunities.

3. How to choose your further education path? Three options available:
- JC: A pathway to university, ideal for high-achieving students. Recommended schools include Raffles Institution and Hwa Chong Institution.
- Polytechnic: Career-oriented programmes. Opt for institutions with strong specialty programmes, such as Aerospace Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic.
- ITE: Skills-focused pathway. You can also progress to Polytechnic or university afterward.

The Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) application window opens today (January 14th) at 16:00 and closes on January 19th at 16:30. Don’t miss the deadline!
