We will be organising the GEA Global HR Challenge 2026 on the 25 October 2026, Sunday, an exciting and interactive talent acquisition and workforce planning challenge designed to simulate real-world international recruitment decision-making. This challenge will serve as your platform to demonstrate strategic thinking, talent assessment skills, persuasive communication, and professional HR judgment.
The GEA Global HR Challenge 2026 is your opportunity to step into the role of a global talent strategist. In today’s international business environment, leaders are expected not only to manage operations but also to identify, evaluate, and develop high-performing teams capable of delivering results across cultures, industries, and regions. This challenge goes beyond reviewing resumes. Participants will assess candidate potential, justify recruitment decisions, defend their talent selection strategies, and critically evaluate the decisions made by others in a dynamic and competitive talent management environment.
Every candidate you select, every question you ask, and every rationale you present reflects your ability to think strategically, recognize talent, and build effective international teams. Through this challenge, you will strengthen your HR judgment, analytical thinking, workforce planning capabilities, and leadership skills while demonstrating your readiness to lead people and organizations in a global environment.

Official Challenge Theme
Building a High-Performing International Project Team for Europe.
A multinational organisation is preparing to launch a major strategic project in Europe. As the Global Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning Team, your challenge is to identify, evaluate, and select the four most suitable candidates from a pool of twenty applicants to form a project team capable of delivering results in a complex international environment.
Challenge Structure
Talent Selection Presentation → HR Panel Questions → Candidate Defense → HR Panel Assessment
Teams must be fully prepared to perform effectively in both roles, Talent Scout Team and HR Panel.
Challenge Information
1) Form into teams of 3-6 members.
2) Teams will review 20 candidate profiles and strategically select 4 candidates to form an effective team for an international project in Europe, considering skills, leadership potential, diversity, and organizational fit.
3)Teams must deliver a professional talent pitch explaining why each candidate was chosen, their roles within the team, and how the team will achieve project success. They must then justify their decisions using evidence and sound HR principles.
4) Teams will rotate between being Talent Scouts and HR Assessment Panels, evaluating other teams, asking insightful recruitment questions, and demonstrating critical thinking, strategic workforce planning, communication skills, and the ability to respond under pressure.
5) Winning teams will receive an award, a token of appreciation and other Global HR opportunities!
