The RMITAS Mental Wellness Sanctuary: Cultivating a Healthy Mindset in Today’s Modern Society was successfully held on 8 September 2026 at Ju Space, Pek Chuan Building, bringing together RMIT Singapore alumni for an interactive and educational evening.

The event started off with 2 back-to-back sharing sessions by Gavin Seah (CEO, Soil of Humility) and Varian Monteiro (Counselling Therapist), exploring the delicate arts of managing the expectations we placed on ourselves and providing meaningful insights to emotional management respectively.

The evening ended on a high note with an engaging panel discussion moderated by Antoinette Patterson (Co-Founder / CEO of Safe Space™), delving deeper into the nuances of cultivating mental wellbeing in today’s demanding environment.

All in all, it was a solid platform for facilitating alumni networking and building a mentally more resilient alumni to thrive in modern society while strengthening the RMIT community fabric. A big shoutout to the strong support of RMITAS EXCO and active participation of the attendees in making this event a success.

RMIT Alumni Singapore joined RMIT-SIM Pre-Graduation Night at OverEasy on 25 August.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the newly graduated students from the RMIT–SIM degree programmes and celebrate this important milestone together. We were delighted to introduce the RMIT Alumni Singapore chapter and invite the graduates to join our alumni community, where they can build meaningful connections and participate in future events.

It was also a pleasure to see several RMIT University leaders joining us for the evening. Their presence made the celebration even more special.

Congratulations to all the graduates, and we look forward to welcoming you to the RMIT Alumni Singapore community!

It was a privilege to come together as one RMIT Alumni Singapore (RMITAS) community to welcome RMIT University Chancellor Peggy O'Neal AO on her first visit to Singapore.

It was also an honour to meet Her Excellency Robyn Mudie, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, following her appointment earlier this year, and to reconnect with university leaders Michelle King, Layton Pike, Colin Picker, Mathews Nkhoma, Joanna Watts, Tad Ameresekere and Bernard Oh.

We were equally delighted to meet Kwok Kee Wei and Professor Jorg Bley from SIM Global Education, as well as fellow RMIT alumni and friends.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a meaningful gathering. It was a wonderful celebration of the RMIT community and the enduring connections that bring us together.

RMIT Alumni Singapore (RMITAS) launched its inaugural CSR initiative last Saturday in support of New Hope Community Services and their 'Walk in Their Shoes' programme.

Together, we packed care bags with essential toiletries, visited shelters for the homeless at Margaret Drive and Ang Mo Kio, and spent time listening and connecting with the staff and beneficiaries.

We also presented a donation to New Hope Community Services and Kampong Siglap to support their ongoing work with socially vulnerable individuals as they rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

We thank everyone who donated their time and effort to make this initiative possible.

If you're looking for a meaningful way to make a difference, we encourage you to support the Olive Tree Fund. Every contribution, big or small, helps organisations like these continue their important work.
