“I think sometimes we count ourselves out too early,” says alumnus Barath Harithas (NUS Poilitical Science, ‘16), who has achieved what was once nothing more than a pipe dream – going onward to Harvard Kennedy School.

Barath’s academic journey has been less than straightforward. While growing up, he was not one of those students that teachers would typically earmark for success. Now, more than six years after graduating from National University of Singapore he has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship toward a Master's in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.

This hybrid event (11 May online and 14 May on campus) marks ’ return to hosting an in-person and ’ first large-scale Open House, and we urge all to attend and discover all they need to know about education at one of the world’s top institutions of higher learning.⁠

Guest Lecture - "Geopolitical Shifts in the South Pacific: Is the US or China Winning?"
Last week’s guest lecture with Ambassador Dr Schleich (rtd.) covered a topical and hotly debated issue: Oceania as a ‘new arena of rivalry’ between the US and China. The lecture analyzed not only current geopolitical shifts in the region, but also changing patterns in economic relations and foreign aid.
