A message from the U.S. Embassy Singapore
Hi everyone,
Calling all U.S. university alumni in Singapore! It’s time to bring a bit of college spirit to the Little Red Dot. We're hosting a bracket challenge just for the fun of it—no entry fees and no wagering. Whether you’re a die-hard basketball fan or just looking for some friendly competition, we invite you to join our 2026 March Madness Alumni Bracket Challenge.
What is a March Madness Bracket?
The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, known as "March Madness," is a single-elimination tournament featuring 68 top college teams. A "bracket" is a tree diagram where you predict the winner of every single head-to-head matchup, from the opening Round of 64 all the way to the National Championship.
You can fill out a bracket for two groups. One for the women’s tournament and one for the men’s tournament. Feel free to join both.

2. Make Your Picks: You will be prompted to make an account to fill out the bracket. For each matchup, simply click on the team you think will win. They will automatically advance to the next round in your digital bracket. Be sure to scroll down to fill out the entire bracket.
3. Submit Before Tip-Off: All brackets must be finalized before the first round begins on Thursday, March 19, 2026. (March 20th for women’s)
Quick Tips for Beginners
• The Seeds: Teams are ranked from #1 (strongest) to #16 (underdog) in four regions. While #1 seeds often win early rounds, the "Madness" comes from the unpredictable upsets that happen every year.
• Scoring: Most challenges award more points for correct picks in later rounds (e.g., 1 point for the first round, 2 for the second, up to 32 for the champion).
• Tiebreaker: You’ll be asked to provide your guess on how many points will be scored in the final game. This will help determine the winning bracket in the event there is a tie.
The final games will take place on April 5th and 6th. We’ll be celebrating the “winning bracket” and the “bracket buster” for each tournament. Looking forward to seeing who makes it to the end.
