On 29 April 2026, Nanyang Business School (NBS), in collaboration with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), hosted “Accountancy Unlocked: Dynamic Careers, Endless Possibilities” 🎓

Prospective students gained insights from NBS alumni, industry leaders and current NBS accountancy students, including Ms Judy Ng (Managing Director, DBS Bank), Mr Eric Lim (Chief Sustainability Officer, UOB), and Mr Tham Wei Quan (NBS Accountancy Graduate), on how the accounting profession is evolving through innovation, sustainability, and global opportunities 🌍

It was a meaningful evening for students to connect, engage, and gain a deeper understanding of the NBS Accountancy programmes. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event a success 🤗

NBS welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, because we believe that everyone can attain a promising future with the right academic training. Students from different backgrounds can enhance their learning through interaction and immersion. And by sparking intellectual and interesting conversations, NBS is able to aid the understanding of different perspectives – a crucial skill in the working world.

Take Kaylee Cheng for instance, a third-year undergraduate studying a Bachelor of Accountancy, who adjusted from polytechnic to NBS life where she now excels as a team player among her peers. She has some reassuring words to say!

NBS paves the road ahead for students set on impacting the world. Just take it from alumni success stories like Han Zhong Liang, who currently shapes the finance industry as APAC Co-Lead of Investment Strategy at BlackRock. And to top that off, he even recently made it on the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list!

A Bachelor of Business graduate with a Major in Banking & Finance, Zhong Liang attributes his growth and skillset to the technical courses he grasped in his NBS days. He now looks back on his NBS experience.

Our NBS students are already shaking up big businesses. Just look at the success of Team Qiang Consulting, comprising our students, Marcus Lee (Year 3, BUS) and Gerwyn Teo (Year 3, ACBS).​

Following a rigorous competition, the students emerged as champions at the MarkeTHINK x CHAGEE Case Competition 2026. They won the coveted award for their proposed marketing strategy for CHAGEE, helping the renowned tea brand elevate its positioning among a competitive tea market and connect deeper with its consumers. ​
