On the 11th of September, Naveed Maricar (4I), along with five other students from St. Patrick's School participated in the Homegrown Festival 2026, a festival that celebrates local music, presented by the Music & Drama Company (MDC) ๐ถโจ. The students competed in Homegrown Rising, a competition that serves as an avenue for youth musicians to gain exposure and recognition for their abilities ๐๐ธ. Competing as a rock band known as threepeat, they faced tough competition, including bands from various Polytechnics and Universities, and were the youngest contestants ๐ฅ๐ฅ. The band first performed Welcome to the Black Parade, a classic by punk-rock band My Chemical Romance, followed by a solo performance of Naveedโs original song titled I Believe ๐น๐ค. After a stellar performance, the band emerged as champions in the competition, winning a recording agreement with SO DRAMA! studios for two original songs ๐๐ฅ๐!
