*Galloping into the New Year with Joy, Unity and the Dhamma! 🐴🧧*
On 1st March, BPC and its Alumni Committee had the wonderful privilege of organising a Chinese New Year bonding event for BPC students and teachers. It was a day filled with meaning, laughter, and a beautiful sense of community.
The celebration began with a Dhamma talk by our Principal, Ven. Seelanada Thero. He reminded us that this season of renewal is a perfect time to set our intentions in our practice, focus on inner growth, and most importantly, protect the harmony within our own communities, be it with our family, friends, or at the workplace.
Following the Dhamma talk, we moved to the Mangala Hall for a lively Lohei session, tossing for good fortune and blessings for the year ahead. 🥢
The energy continued to build with a fun bonding activity, where each table was challenged to build the tallest pagoda using the least number of balloons, while penning the most creative CNY greetings! 🤩 The hall was buzzing with teamwork and laughter!
Later, when it was time to wrap up the activity, everyone spontaneously started 'popping' their balloon pagodas! 🎈🎈💥💥 The ‘popping’ sounded like festive CNY firecrackers echoing through the hall, an unexpected and absolutely wonderful treat that perfectly captured the spirit of the season. 🎊
We concluded the celebrations back in the Shrine Hall with a prize-giving ceremony for our creative pagoda builders, followed by blessings from the monks. The day ended on a peaceful note with a final Dhamma talk by Ven. Anoma to ground our joyous celebration back to the Dhamma. 😌
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and made this gathering so special! BPC wishes all students, teachers, alumni and friends a year ahead filled with strong energy, good health, peace of mind, and the blessings of the Dhamma.
May your Year of the Horse be a fruitful and meaningful one! 🐎💨
Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! 🙏
