In 2013, the NUS Business Analytics Centre (BAC) was set up by NUS and IBM, with the support of Singapore Economic Development Board to address the rising industry demand for making business sense out of massive quantity of data and incorporating the relevant intelligence. The NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), offered by NUS BAC, is the first programme to provide in-depth busines
s strategy thinking and data analytics. It commenced in August 2013 and is still bringing to students today a curriculum jointly developed by expertise from NUS Computing and NUS Business School. The programme also continues to tap on the University's strengths across multiple disciplines, focusing on "big data" analytics and technologies, as well as consumer data, financial and risk analytics in various verticals. Participants of the programme will attend eight modules over two semesters, together with a 6 months-long professional consulting project in business analytics with industry players to gain access to analytics technology, methods & solutions.
