All forums sessions are uploaded as podcasts at https://soundcloud.com/yncforum. FAQ
What is the Yale-NUS College Forum? A space where Yale-NUS students can come together and engage in constructive dialogue about issues that are of pressing significance to our community. Each YNCF topic is grounded in an issue that has rocked our community and stirred debate online and across campus - our Forum a
ims to unite these conversations on a platform that facilitates greater community involvement and the dynamics of a face-to-face interaction. As members of a liberal arts college that so vehemently asserts its commitment to open discourse, our forum also urges discussion of each topic's ramifications on structures and societies beyond our College walls. We strongly believe that the YNCF should become one of the cornerstones of intellectual and community life at Yale-NUS. We will not be discussing anything to do with Dining Halls, Yale-NUS specific faculty, curriculum, or residential issues. What will the format of the session be? A series of panelists ("People Who Sit at the Front") will lead community discussion. Input will be taken from the audience to the panelists, who will debate with each other and the audience. The discussion will be overseen by a student moderator. When is the next session?..Dunno. Sessions are organized on an ad-hoc basis, according to the needs of our community. As organizers, we do our best to keep a finger on the pulse of YNC student life, and begin planning when we notice an increase in discussions on an issue that resonates with the community but has not been engaged on other platforms. Monkeyballs! I missed it! Did anyone take notes? Not to worry, we post the recordings of every forum as podcasts on https://soundcloud.com/yncforum. Can I get involved in shaping the YNCF? Of course!
