💎 Founded in 2025, Project Sonetto is NUS Medicine’s first Community Involvement Project dedicated to using music-based interventions to support children with ADHD and other developmental needs. Through rhythm, melody, movement, and creative expression, the team works with children to build their attention, improve self-regulation and confidence, and increase social engagement in a fun and meaningful way.

From conducting a four-month ADHD pilot programme to partnering with community organisations such as Club Rainbow, Project Sonetto is committed to harnessing the power of music to create inclusive, evidence-informed interventions for children with diverse developmental and medical needs.

👏 Congratulations to Evelyn Law Chung Ning from the Department of Paediatrics, NUS Medicine, on her promotion to Associate Professor, effective 1 January 2026.

An internationally recognised clinician-scientist, Assoc Prof Law's research has advanced understanding of how early-life experiences influence children's brain development and long-term health. Her work has informed national child health strategies, including Singapore's National Guidance on Screen Use in Children.

One of her most notable achievements is directing the cognitive and neurodevelopment assessments of children in the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) study, establishing a rich and rigorous longitudinal resource that has contributed substantially to the wider research community.

Through her pioneering research, clinical expertise, educational leadership, and dedication to improving the lives of children and families, Assoc Prof Law continues to make sustained and significant contributions to paediatrics, developmental neuroscience, and population health.
