This week, 3,611 SUSS graduates get to say, “We made it!” 🎓❤️

But no two journeys to this moment were quite the same. Some pursued studies full-time, while others juggled work, family and countless commitments. Each journey came with challenges, sacrifices and moments of doubt. What brought them here was the determination to keep going.

As we celebrate how far the Class of 2026 has come, we also look ahead to the journeys of future learners. Made possible by a S$1 million gift from UOB Foundation, a new UOB Future Resilience Fund will help more SUSS learners pursue their aspirations, explore new opportunities and build the confidence to navigate their futures.

To the Class of 2026, you've made it! Now, let's go shape what's next.

Perhaps it’s the one who stayed up with you, kept things going at home, listened when things got tough or reminded you of why you started. Your name may be on the certificate, but you know you didn't get here alone.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! This moment is yours to celebrate and share with everyone who helped you get here.

For Muhammad Hafiz Bin Samad, learning was a means to serve others better. His work gave him a closer understanding of the complexities that can shape a young person’s journey back into the community.

Pursuing a Master of Social Sciences deepened that understanding around issues surrounding rehabilitation and reintegration. Now, he brings that learning back into his work, supporting youths and guiding new officers as a Senior Trainer.

This October, Hafiz graduates ready to turn learning into action and shape what comes next.

Finding out how she learns changed more than just the way Asherah approached her studies.

As a neurodivergent adult learner, she became more aware of what she needed to thrive and went on to build a community where students like herself could feel seen, supported and less alone.

This October, Asherah graduates with a stronger sense of who she is and how she wants to be there for others.

This one’s going in the SUSS Silat history books. 🏆

For the first time, our Silat team was crowned Overall Champions at the SIT Tertiary Silat Championship, finishing first among 10 polytechnics and universities.

The medals may tell us how the competition ended, but they don’t show the hours of training, the coaches in their corner, and the teammates pushing one another through it all.

Jai made the decision to leave a stable career and pursue a different path, one shaped by his commitment to social work and community development.

Encouraged to join SUSS' pioneering PhD programme in Social Work, he embraced the opportunity to help shape something new while deepening his understanding of the issues that matter most to him.

Along the way, his wife, Shasirekha, remained his greatest source of support, encouraging him to pursue his aspirations and setting an example for their sons about the value of lifelong learning.

For him, the PhD is not the destination. It is the beginning of the work ahead, contributing to the conversations and solutions that can create a greater impact on society.

Over the past four years, H Project has brought volunteers into the community to support seniors, children with chronic illnesses, hospice patients and other community groups in Singapore.

By engaging ex-offenders in meaningful community service, the project creates opportunities for positive contribution, allowing participants to build connections while supporting causes that matter.

For creating meaningful community impact through service and partnership, H Project was recognised with the Provost 3H Fund - Community Impact Award 2026.

Weekends look a little different for Emily Ho.

Between work and life, the SUSS Communications graduate makes time to visit seniors as a Silver Generation Ambassador, helping them stay connected to the support they need.

It is a role that reflects how her idea of success has evolved. Overseas learning, community service and mentoring broadened her perspective and showed her that growth is not only about moving forward for yourself, but also about the difference you can make for others.

This October, she graduates with a clearer sense of what she wants to carry into the next chapter.
