From surviving studio crits at SP MAD to literally packing bags for the UK… huge win incoming ✈️🇬🇧

Massive congrats to our fam girl AL ( Alicia Hong En Ting) for securing the DesignSingapore Scholarship 2026! She’s heading off to Loughborough University to do her Bachelor in Industrial Design, and honestly, we couldn’t be prouder.

If you ask her what tipped the scales, Alicia points straight back to her time on the Creative Entrepreneurial Pathway at SP MAD and the endless opportunities to learn different things at SP. It wasn’t just about making things look good on design—it taught her how to think like a founder, pitch wild ideas with confidence, and actually solve real-world problems for different communities. That hustle made all the difference.

To everyone pulling late nights staring blankly at your Figma frames or templates: take this as your sign. Don’t sleep on your own ideas. Take the risks, build the prototypes, and seize every opportunity at SP MAD.

His journey began at SP Media, Arts & Design, where he learnt to turn human insights into meaningful physical and digital experiences. That foundation carried him through Industrial Design at NUS—and now towards Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London.

Syahindah graduated from the Diploma in Creative Writing for Television and New Media (DTVM), now the Story & Content Creation (SCC) specialisation under the Diploma in Media, Arts & Design (DMAD).
