and arts course. Our course structure are
Global and we have students from all over
the world. From 1983 till todate, students
were f
rom France,England, Japan, Manila,
Indonesia, China, Korea, USA, Malaysia,
Sweden, Nepal Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam
and and local. Design exchange program was
held annually in our sister school to allow
students to have more exposure to deal with
design requirement from diverse culture. LCE started in 1983 with the aim of helping
people who wanted to take design courses. For more than 30 years, we have been
working very hard , constantly fine-tuning our
courses and syllabus to suit industrial
needs and to help in job placement. Our principal is Mr Gary Lim, who started off
as an assistant designer in SBC, now called
Mediacorps Singapore. He went on to join
a Japanese interior design consultant firm
while working as part-time teacher, teaching
design. Gary, with two others friends, is the
founder of the Interior Design course for the
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Later, he decided to start a school to teach
interior design and other design courses. He became a member of the Interior Designers'
Association in 1984 and was elected as President
of the Interior Designers' Association in 1995. Wanting to further his education, he embarked
on an interior design and education post graduate
program in Washington University and graduated
with a high distinction. Armed with a Master of Arts
in Interior Design and Education, he never stops
learning and currently enaging in new courses. LCE has helped many people in pursuing
certificates and diplomas courses recognise by the
industrials.Industrial leaders like Ikea, Metro, Design
Studio, M1 Design, Advertising Consultants firm
employed LCE graduates. Besides there are many
successful LCE students, who started their business
constantly, call us for new graduates to join them. All LCE lecturers are trained, and have at least UK
Diploma and manyyears of working experience before
they are put into the classroom. They know what they
are teaching. Our clients and students are from all works of life. LCE
do have clients from Singapore Civil Service Servant Club,
Metro, ITE, Bedok Secondary School, Ang Mo Kio, Secondary
School, Anglo Junior College, Hwa Chong Junior College,
