🌟 Highlights from the 1st Joint SNA Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) Chapter – Upsilon Eta Chapter, STTI Seminar 2026 🌟
On 27 June 2026, the Singapore Nurses Association - SNA Advanced Practice Nurses Chapter and Upsilon Eta Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), co-organised the 1st Joint Seminar on Nursing Leadership, Technology & Policy at the Sky Garden, Level 19, Raffles Specialist Centre. The event brought together nursing leaders, APNs, educators, researchers, and healthcare professionals for an inspiring afternoon of learning, networking, and future-focused conversations.
The seminar was warmly hosted by Ms. Lilian Yew, Vice-President of Upsilon Eta Chapter, who served as the emcee for the event. Through her engaging introductions and facilitation, she welcomed participants, introduced the distinguished speakers, and set the stage for meaningful discussions on leadership, innovation, and policy in nursing.
After Prof Zhou Wentao 's welcome speech, we were privileged to hear from 2 renowned speakers:
🔹 Dr Michael Joseph Dino , PhD, RN, FAAN, FFNMRCSI, ANEF, CPAHA, CGNC on Hybrid Artificial Intelligence and its transformative role in healthcare.
🔹 Dr Michelle Gunn, on "Nurses at the Policy Table: Why Nursing Leadership Shapes National Health Outcomes," highlighting the importance of nursing influence in policy & decision-making.
🔹 A thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Dr Juriyah Yatim , explored the question: “What Does Good Care Mean in the Future?” The discussion challenged the panelists to rethink care delivery amid rapid advances in technology & changing patient expectations.
🔹 The seminar concluded with Mr. Satyaprakash TIWARI of BUZUD, who shared innovative approaches to Caring Smarter – Rethinking Tech-Enabled Ageing Well at Home, encouraging participants to reimagine how technology can support healthy ageing within the community.
