| From a bank to a technology company: ESSEC participants explore DBS’ transformation!

This week, the Post Experience team welcomed participants of the ESSEC Executive Master Specialisé (EMS) study trip to the ESSEC Asia-Pacific campus who had the privilege of hearing from Lim Him Chuan, Country Head of DBS Singapore, as part of their study trip to the ESSEC Asia-Pacific campus.

Him Chuan shared DBS’ digital and AI transformation journey and the simple promise behind it: Live More, Bank Less. Three takeaways that stayed with the room:

For our EMS participants, it was a first-hand look at how digital and AI strategy come to life in one of the world’s most dynamic business hubs, and a reminder that the most successful transformations keep people at the center.

| Highlights from the Inter-University Finance Summit at ESSEC Asia-Pacific!

Over 400 students and professionals joined us at ESSEC Asia-Pacific on 1 October for the Singapore Inter-University Finance Summit, organized by the ESSEC Hedge Fund Club and ESSEC Connections.

Attendees heard from industry leaders at Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Maybank, and Santander in a panel moderated by Prof. Rick Marchese, then stayed on to network with the panelists, industry professionals, and students from other universities.

| A Wellness Day to remember!

Last week, ESSEC Asia-Pacific's students got to relax, build friendships, and have fun at our biannual Wellness Day.

Beyond the fun (from crafting friendship bracelets to enjoying the slides at the Wild Wild Wet waterpark), ESSEC APAC also organized a volunteering session for students to put our humanist values into practice. Students headed to Active Global to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with seniors in the community, spending the afternoon on games and lantern painting.

It's initiatives like these that bring ESSEC's commitment to community engagement to life, well beyond the classroom.

Singapore is where the region's business actually gets decided. Most European and North American multinationals run their ASEAN operations from here, which means your cohort meets decision-makers rather than representatives.

Visiting Residencies at ESSEC Asia-Pacific are immersive programs built around a theme you choose. Our resident faculty teach the sessions. We arrange the company visits, the senior speakers and every logistical detail on the ground.

| For the past two years, students, alumni, faculty, and staff from the ESSEC Asia-Pacific campus have volunteered at FaithActs, helping beneficiaries in the neighborhoods surrounding our campus.

In August, ESSEC and FaithActs celebrated this collaboration at the FaithActs’ Partners’ Appreciation event, recognizing the individuals and organizations that support FaithActs’ programs in Queenstown.

From guiding children through homework to leading exercises, games, and crafts with seniors, we thank FaithActs for their continued partnership and the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community!

| ESSEC Business School launched our inaugural Civic Action Week!

Civic Action Week, ESSEC’s first inter-campus volunteering program, invited faculty and staff across our campuses in Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific to volunteer with local associations and organizations from 6 to 8 July.

More than 40 faculty, staff, and student volunteers from ESSEC Asia-Pacific came together to organize and support sessions with social service agencies across Singapore.

Our first engagement at St. Andrew’s Senior Care featured a presentation and live cooking demonstration showcasing organic produce harvested from our campus edible garden.

At Child at Street 11, volunteers guided children through hands-on activities and games that encouraged teamwork and creative exploration.

The week concluded with our session at Kwong Wai Shiu Centre. Volunteers facilitated memory games and craft workshops, with seniors bringing home their own Chinese lucky knots and Ketupat-inspired decorations.

We are heartened to witness our beneficiaries enjoying this shared time together, and thank the organizations and volunteers who made our first Civic Action Week a great success! ESSEC will continue to put our values of humanism and sustainability into practice, as we deepen our engagement with the local community.
