NUS Graduate Students’ Society (NUSGSS) is the only official university-level student organization representing all NUS graduate students for more than 31 years. Being a society with more than 10000 members, NUSGSS is a flagship organization led by a core executive committee, aimed at reaching out to every graduate student in the university. The sub-committees of NUSGSS, such as Engineering Graduate Students Council (EGSC), Science Graduate Students Council (SGSC), and School of Medicine Graduate Students’ Society (SoM-GSS), work closely with us to serve students in their respective specialization. Every year, NUSGSS organizes around 40 events with active participation of over 6000 graduate students. We have a highly visible presence in and around the campus through the wide range of activities. Through various high profile events, we have displayed our credibility both in and outside NUS.

We have more than 4,000 exclusive community packs to distribute as a token of appreciation! To collect yours:

1. Pre-register & Complete the Survey:

Pre-registration opens from 1 October to 10 October 2026 via NUSync. You will be sent a separate email to complete a short survey to make graduate student life better.

2. Visit Us at YIH:

Head down to YIH during your registered distribution timeslot.

3. Collect your Pack and Leave a Note:

Show your completed survey confirmation screen and NUSync QR code at our collection counter. While you’re there, drop a post-it note on our boards to share a setback, lesson learned, or a moment of resilience — let’s celebrate failures growth together!

The NUS Graduate Students’ Society (NUS GSS) is pleased to invite you to our upcoming event where we are giving away free community packs! Register NOW to get some exclusive merchandise, designed just for grad students, including a free t-shirt, a water bottle, and stickers featuring the previous GSS logo and LiNUS with cute captions- all you need to do is complete a short survey!

At the same time, we are also hosting our first-ever Celebration of Failures event. Graduate school is a journey filled with both breakthroughs and setbacks. Through this initiative, we want to create a safe, supportive space to normalise setbacks as part of our academic and personal growth, while hearing directly from you on how university life can be improved to support your daily life and wellbeing.

The NUS Graduate Students’ Society (NUSGSS) is inviting alumni to be mentors in the Alumni Mentorship Programme (AMP) 2026–2027! 🎓

AMP connects graduate students with alumni who can share their experience and help them think through their next steps after graduate school. Mentors can choose between two tracks:
Project-Oriented: Work with your mentee on a concrete project, such as a report, research project, or prototype, shaped around your expertise.
Reflection-Oriented: Have conversations about career paths, decision-making, and life after graduate school.

📅 October 2026 to April 2027
👥 1–3 mentees per mentor, with about three meetings in total at times that suit you
