Victoria Junior College Victoria is Something More
Lead | Serve | Excel This is what sets us apart in the educational landscape of Singapore.

The Victoria Junior College name is synonymous with a culture of excellence and innovation in both work and play. While Victorians boast of strong academic standings and possess rigorous intellectual habits, they are also challenged to go beyond the everyday and pursue what their hearts desire. We value the diversity that is every young person and believe that there is nothing more important than

helping them find their passion and purpose, however defined. Victorians then go out, ready to change the world in creative and meaningful ways. Thinkers, dreamers and doers - here at Victoria Junior College, you can be all of them.

Last week, Victorians rolled up their sleeves to tidy up their own classrooms, a small gesture with a bigger point: VJC isn’t just clean, it’s cared for. Every single day, that care comes from our aunties and uncles who work alongside us to keep our campus a place we’re proud to learn in. ✨

To say thank you, a group of Victorians organised a breakfast in their honour, generously sponsored by our PSG. The morning was filled with performances from two student bands, Friday Jam Co and The Labubus, games, and plenty of conversation — a chance for Victorians to sit down, laugh, and truly get to know the people behind our everyday environment. 🎶

To the Victorians who stepped up to organise and give back, and to every hand that helped keep our campus clean this morning — thank you for showing what VJCommunity really looks like. ♥️💛

A first for VJC, Breakfast with Dads! 🍳☀️

Last week, Victorians welcomed their fathers and father figures to campus for a morning made for connection! Conversation cards sparked the talks, appreciation notes said what’s often left unsaid, and a photo challenge + lucky draw kept things light and fun. 📸🎉

And somewhere between the laughs and the bites, things got a little reflective too - a chance to look back on relationships that just keep growing richer and closer through the years. ♥️💛

Fatherhood isn’t a role for a season, it’s one that shapes a child’s life well beyond it. To all our dads and father figures: thank you for all that you do.

And a huge shoutout to our PSG dads and moms 🙌 your generosity and support made this morning possible!

A wonderful afternoon at the MOE ETPS Scholars Investiture held at the SIT Ho Bee Auditorium! 🎉

Congratulations to our newest batch of MOE ETPS Scholars — wishing our aspiring engineers every success as you embark on this exciting journey. 👏⚙️

It was also a pleasure catching up with VJC alumnus, Dr Kyrin Liong (04S12), who moderated the panel discussion with ETPS industry partners. Always heartening to see our alumni giving back and inspiring the next generation! 💙

Our school came alive with ❤️💛💜🧡💚colour, culture, and community as we commemorated Racial Harmony Day! 🤝

The day began with vibrant performances by our different ethnic groups, showcasing the rich traditions and heritage that make Singapore’s multicultural society so unique.

Our Parent Support Group also prepared a delightful spread of traditional snacks, bringing students and staff together over the universal language of food.

The festivities continued with our Mother Tongue Fortnight Showcase, where students explored different cultures through traditional games, artworks, cultural exhibits, and interactive activities. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, experience, and appreciate the customs and traditions that make up our diverse community.

Racial Harmony Day is a reminder that our diversity is our strength. By learning about one another’s cultures and embracing our differences, we continue to build a school community rooted in respect, understanding, and unity.

On the afternoon of 26 June, our VJ staff stepped beyond the classroom and into the community for our annual Values-in-Action (VIA) Day.

From delivering meals to seniors, cycling and sharing meals with elderly residents, packing food bundles for families in need, rescuing surplus food, conducting photography and craft sessions, serving frozen yoghurt, to cleaning up our East Coast beaches—every team found a different way to make a meaningful impact.

It was an afternoon filled with conversations, laughter, teamwork and service, reminding us that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our community partners and to live out the values we seek to instil in our students every day.

Thank you to all our staff and partner organisations for making this meaningful afternoon possible. Together, we continue to build a stronger, kinder community. 💙

Just before Term 3, our teachers came together for our in-house Professional Learning Fair — sharing projects 💡, exploring EdTech tools, and rethinking how we nurture the skills students will need beyond the classroom.

Then we took the learning outside, visiting five incredible organisations to see how industry leaders innovate and adapt in the real world.

We came back inspired, motivated, and ready to do even more for our students in becoming more future-ready, yet grounded in values and camaraderie. 🌱

A huge thank you to The Bettr Group, Changi Airport Group, Google, GovTech, and WeWork for hosting us so generously! 🙌

💡 Project Inspire 2026 is VJC’s collaboration with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) 🤝 which leverages on Design Thinking 🧠 to create solutions based on context 🌍 and make real impact. ✨

♿ Our theme this year is “Enhancing Physical Activity for People with Disabilities.” 💪 Each team of secondary school students 👥 designed and presented a prototype 🛠️ addressing this challenge under the guidance of SIT mentors 🎓 and VJC facilitator.

🎉 Well done to all our participants, mentors, and facilitators 👏 for making Project Inspire 2026 a success. 🌟 Together, we're shaping a more inclusive future 🤍 through innovation 💡 and collaboration. 🤝

🌟V.T.R.E.EHouse Sec 4 Mentoring Programme🌟 J2 Victorians provide mentorship to Sec 4 students from Anglican High School, Manjusri Secondary School, CHIJ Katong Convent, Saint Patrick’s School, Ngee Ann Secondary School and Victoria School as they share insights to JC life and A Level curriculum. Along the way, our Victorians listened to the challenges faced by their mentees and shared tips on how to manage their revision schedule and stress levels during assessment periods. We hope that the friendship forged over the past few months will motivate the mentees to strive for their best during their O Level exams!

New term. Fresh start. New possibilities. ✨

Before the pace picks up again, we’re shining the spotlight Victorians whose impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Through their time, care and commitment, they’ve shown that making a difference often starts with simply showing up.

Their stories are a reminder that every one of us has something to contribute—whether it’s an hour, an idea, or a helping hand.

Here’s to a term of learning, growing, and finding our own ways to make an impact. 💛❤️
