School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana (UL SEB) was established in 1946 as part of the University of Ljubljana, one of the most influential universities in Central and South-East Europe. The UL SEB is both a national leader and an internationally recognised academic and research institution in the fields of business and economics. It provides world-class study programmes, featur

ing top professors from Slovenia and abroad. The UL SEB has acquired two international accreditations: EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and therefore belongs to the top 1% of all business schools in the world that have both accreditations. Institutions that earn AACSB accreditation (like Columbia University, Stanford, Yale) confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. EQUIS is the accreditation of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the leading international system for the quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of the best business schools in the world. The UL SEB offers the best conditions for students to study and achieve their personal potential, providing graduates with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to secure employment in Slovenia and abroad. It has introduced a number of double and joint degree programmes with renowned schools and open campuses, including abroad. On the undergraduate level, students can choose between a higher professional degree or university degree. On the graduate level, students are able to choose between 15 programmes in the Slovenian language and 14 programmes in the English language.

🌍✨ Three cities. Three schools. One summer school.

This week, students from UL SEB, WU Vienna and the School of Economics and Business University of Sarajevo have come together at UL SEB as part of the first-ever Vienna–Ljubljana–Sarajevo Summer School on Circular Economy. A total of 31 students are taking part in the programme.

Over the course of three weeks, they will explore sustainability challenges, develop regenerative business models and work on innovative solutions for a more sustainable future. After Vienna and Ljubljana, the journey continues to Sarajevo. 🌱♻️

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is a scholastic honour society of the best business students and graduates of AACSB accredited schools. The BGS membership is by invitation only. This year, the 16th generation of the UL SEB students will be invited to join. Today and tomorrow UL SEB is hosting the 𝗟𝗷𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, an international multidisciplinary workshop that brings together scientists and experts from the fields of economics, finance, marine biology, project leaders, public policy representatives, and financiers. The aim of the workshop is to develop a common framework for the high-quality, measurable, and feasible restoration of Posidonia oceanica seagrass, one of the key Mediterranean marine ecosystems and an important blue natural capital of the seas and oceans.

The workshop is hosted and organised by UL SEB in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Slovenia, and is conceptually designed by As.Prof. Sandra Damijan (UL SEB), Prof. Carlos M. Duarte (KAUST), Jan Pachner (One Ocean Foundation), and Theresa Zabell (Ecomar Foundation).
