Meet our guest lecturers, bit architecture!

Based in Zagreb, bit architecture is an architectural practice founded by architect Antun Stahor. The studio works across architecture, interior design, and urban projects, combining research, technical expertise, and contemporary design to deliver thoughtful, context-driven solutions with the idea of inspiring human experience.
The work has been recognized through several architectural competitions, including the First Prize for the Sesvetski Kraljevec Kindergarten competition and the Second Prize for the Franko Lisica Student Campus in Zadar. Today, bit architecture is committed to creating architecture that is innovative, technically rigorous, and responsive to its environmental and cultural context.

Meet our guest lecturers, Prostorne taktike:

Founded in Split in 2017 by Luka Cvitan and Antonia Cvitan Vuletić, Prostorne taktike is an architectural practice focused on public and civic architecture, shaping spaces that contribute to the quality of life within local communities. Alongside architectural practice, the studio’s professional development is continuously expanded through education, workshops, residencies, and international programmes.
Their work has been recognised through numerous competitions, including notable Foša pedestrian bridge in Trogir. Based on the understanding that space is a shared resource and a foundation of culture, identity, and social life, their activities extend beyond design to education, research, and public engagement.

Meet our workshop leaders! 🌞

Takaharu and Yui Tezuka have been leading the workshop and teaching in Grožnjan for the past 11 years.

They founded Tezuka Architects in 1994, driven by the belief that architecture has the power to transform people's lives and society. Their work has gained international recognition for creating spaces designed on a human scale.

Best known for Fuji Kindergarten—named the world's best school by the OECD and UNESCO—their projects also include Roof House, Echigo-Matsunoyama Museum of Natural Science, Woods of Net, and the award-winning Niijima Gakuen Junior College Hall & Chapel.

Alongside their architectural practice, they lecture around the world. Their theory on children's environments is published as the Yellowbook from Harvard University.

Architecture is alive. Architecture is not a thing, but an event.

There is a fundamental difference between architecture and art. Architecture can be art, but it must be something more. Art is an expression of the artist. It does not necessarily need to be useful, although some art may also serve a purpose.
This workshop asks you to search for an Architecture of Life. This does not mean architecture that merely supports or sustains daily life. It means architecture that is alive in itself. Architecture must not simply contain life. It must participate in life, change with life, and become part of life.

Join architects led by Takaharu and Yui Tezuka from Tokyo and search for architecture not as an object, but as a living event, embedded within Grožnjan—a walled hill town shaped by time, weather, memory, and human presence, from August 1st – August 7th 2026!
