The ICT Development Directorate at the University of Hargeisa successfully conducted a capacity-building training on the effective use of the University Information System (UIS) for university staff members. Officially opened by Dr. Fuad Abdi Obsiye, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the training focused on enhancing staff skills in academic and administrative system utilization, improving data management practices, and strengthening service delivery. Through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions, participants gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience that will contribute to increased efficiency, accuracy, and productivity across the universityโ€™s operations.

The College of Business, Economics and Statistics at the University of Hargeisa, led by Dean Dr. Fekadu Y. Maru (PhD), visited the Office of the Auditor General of the Republic of Somaliland and held productive discussions with Mr. Muse Yusuf Osman, Auditor General, and Mrs. Firiad Abdullahi Hassan, Director of the Central Government Department. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in areas including student internship placements, staff capacity building, curriculum review and development, guest lectures, joint research initiatives, and professional development programs. The UoH and the Office of the Auditor General of the Republic of Somaliland reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger partnerships between academia and the public sector to enhance practical learning opportunities, promote knowledge exchange, and contribute to national development.
