Position: University Registrar
UNIVERSITY OF HARGEISA is looking for a qualified applicant for the vacant position of Registrar at the University of Hargeisa, Somaliland.
The Office of the University Registrar is a unit of the University responsible for all operational matters pertaining to student admission, selection and placement, student registration, and keeping academic records of all the colleges, institutes, schools as well as graduation matters of the Registrar Office. Responsibilities include accountability for all regulatory, compliance, and policy considerations stemming from the operations of the Admissions and Registrar’s offices.
Reporting to the Vice President for Academic and research this position serves on committees, prepares reports, acts as a secretary for the Senate and performs other related duties.
Requirements for the position:
PhD or Master’s degree in related Higher Education or Business Management area is required.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in an Enrolment Management, Admissions, or Registrar’s office.
Experience in supervising professional and support staff and working with an integrated student information system.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and public speaking experience are essential.
Must have proven ability to manage and lead staff to inspire teamwork and achieve established goals.
Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Somali
Integrity/ethics and the ability to meet deadlines.
