We are proud to congratulate our Academic Director, Abdirisak M. Abdillahi, on the publication of his latest research article in the Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization (indexed in Scopus and Web of Science – SCI-E).

Title: Developing a stacked ensemble model for construction labor productivity prediction with metaheuristic-optimized random forest

Authors: Abdirisak M. Abdillahi & Prof. Dr. Savaş Bayram.

This research advances data-driven approaches in construction management and supports sustainable development goals, particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by improving the reliability of labor productivity prediction and decision-making in resource-constrained construction environments.

As part of AIMS’ global outreach agenda and its competency-based international training series, the African Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS), in collaboration with the Postgraduate School of Kuningan University, Indoneisa, organized an International Training on Project Procurement and Contract Management under the theme: "Driving Organizational Value through Strategic Procurement and Contract Governance" in Ankara, Türkiye, from 27 February to 8 March 2026.

The online inaugural session was moderated by Dr. Abdisamad A. Omar, with Dr. Abdirisak M. Abdillahi, Academic Director of AIMS, providing oversight. The training was officially opened by Dr. Yeyen Suryani, M.Pd., Director of the Postgraduate School, Universitas Kuningan, who delivered the keynote address, and Dr. Rina Masruroh, M.E.Sy., Deputy Director of the Postgraduate School, Universitas Kuningan, who presented on "Key Competencies Required of Procurement Professionals." The subsequent sessions were facilitated by Dr. Abdisamad A. Omar.
