The Faculty of CS and IT, is pleased to announce a workshop for Final-Year Students titled “𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡”, which will be held on 𝟏𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 at the 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐦𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬.

The session will be facilitated by 𝐄𝐧𝐠. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐦𝐢 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝.

Participants will learn how AI tools can support:

Final-year students from the Faculty of CS and IT, at Hormuud University benefited from an important workshop session titled “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬,” held at the 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐡 campus.

The session was delivered by 𝐄𝐧𝐠. 𝐘𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐟 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝, an Academic Staff at Hormuud University and an AI Researcher specializing in Healthcare Applications of Artificial Intelligence.

During the session, students gained in-depth insights into the Data Journey, starting from data collection, processing, and analysis, to how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is utilized in developing modern solutions and supporting data-driven decision-making.

This workshop is part of Hormuud University’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and readiness to adapt to modern technologies and the rapidly evolving digital world.

A guest lecture titled “𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬” was organized by HUSAC, specifically for students of the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 at Hormuud University, and was held at the 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 ‘𝐈𝐥𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬. The lecture was delivered by 𝐄𝐧𝐠. 𝐘𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐟 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝, a PhD Candidate in Explainable AI for Healthcare.

The session focused on understanding the foundations of Artificial Intelligence, future career pathways, and the role of AI in shaping next-generation professionals.
