🔥 OPINION | IS JUBA THE WHOLE OF SOUTH SUDAN?

Mr. Yai has reportedly been “elected” President of the newly formed South Sudanese Comedians Association.
But honestly, elected by who? 🤔

Who were the other candidates? Who voted? Where were the comedians and representatives from the other nine states and three administrative areas?

Because if the entire process happened in Juba, then we need to ask a very simple question:

Since when did Juba become South Sudan? 🇸🇸

You cannot sit in Juba, pick someone, then wake up and tell comedians across the country that their president has been “elected.” That is not democracy; that is imposing leadership on people who were never given a seat at the table.

If you want to create a national comedians' association, then act like it is national. Bring representatives from all states and administrative areas, allow them to nominate candidates, campaign and vote.
Otherwise, stop dressing an appointment up as an election.

And this is where the process begins to smell of corruption, favoritism and dictatorship. A few people cannot hijack an entire industry and claim to speak for everyone.

South Sudan is bigger than Juba. And South Sudanese comedians are bigger than a handful of people sitting in one room deciding their leadership.

If the election was genuine, then let them publicly explain: 👉🏾 Who contested? 👉🏾 Who voted? 👉🏾 Which states were represented? 👉🏾 How were the delegates selected? 👉🏾 Where was the consultation with comedians outside Juba?

⚽️ Wau County Secures First Win in Bahr El-Ghazal Counties Tournament

Wau County has recorded its first victory in the ongoing Bahr El-Ghazal Counties Tournament in Juba, defeating Raja County 2–0 in a Western Bahr el Ghazal State derby.

The 2–0 victory gives Wau County a much-needed boost after a difficult start to the tournament and keeps their qualification hopes alive.

With one group-stage match remaining, Wau County will need another strong performance to secure a place in the next round.

YOUNG UPCOMING ARTIST EMMA MRBEE APOLOGIZES TO HIS FATHER AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS OF SILENCE

Young upcoming artist Emma Mrbee has publicly apologized to his father following a misunderstanding that reportedly left the two without greeting or speaking to each other for nearly two years.

In a heartfelt message, Emma acknowledged that family disagreements can create painful distances and said he has come to realize that holding conflicts with family is not the right path.

Emma said he is taking responsibility and believes that apologizing when one is wrong should not be seen as a weakness, but rather as a step toward healing and reconciliation.

“Please Dad, let’s forget about what happened and let peace lead between us,” Emma appealed in his message. 🙏🏻🕊️

The young artist also expressed his desire to leave conflicts behind and embrace peace, saying he is now done with having problems with anyone.

📢 Wau County Youth Union Chairperson Announces Readiness to Hand Over Office

The Chairperson of the Wau County Youth Union, John Charles Abdalla, has officially announced his readiness to hand over leadership through a free, fair and transparent election in the coming weeks.

In a statement addressed to the youth of Wau County, Abdalla acknowledged that his tenure faced a number of challenges and apologized for not being as active and present as the youth expected.

He also expressed appreciation to the youth for the trust they placed in his leadership, saying that despite the challenges, his vision of a united, peaceful, progressive and empowered Wau County youth remains alive.

As part of the process, the Chairperson announced the following meetings:

The Chairperson has encouraged the youth to take part in the process, emphasizing that their voices and ideas will play an important role in shaping the future of the Union.

As one chapter comes to an end, attention now turns to the next chapter of leadership for Wau County Youth Union.
