The Faculty of Informatics Engineering at the University of Aleppo was established in 2000, before the new plan it has three sections: software engineering, information systems, computer networks and artificial intelligence and natural language. According to the old plan, the duration of study is 5 years; including three years of basic sciences then two years where the student specializes in one o

f the previous terms of reference. But according to the new plan, students have the rights at the last two years of choosing optional subjects rather than the specialization.
