SeaPup AUV AUV Team With the passion and dedication of a group of students and researchers, the SEAPUP was established.

The team consists of undergraduate and graduate students with experiences in previous competitions as a former ZEABUS team. The SEAPUP connects students from various departments such as electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering. Our team is technically supported by the Marine Robot Research Laboratory which is currently collaborating with a high-funded private company and financially suppor

ted by the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University. Now, we are recruiting members to our team, join us in the description below.

Designing an AUV is never meant to be simple. Have you ever wondered where we even start?

Speaking of SeaPup mechanical team, our members believe that everything starts from our effective design principles composed of 5 crucial elements:

1. Function: To begin with the brainstorming process from users and team members, allows the capabilities of our AUV to be precisely defined with covering expected aims and tasks; including extending the idea to bio-inspiration design.
2. Manufacturing: This stage serves as similar to a reality checkpoint in which seeks for practical balance between cost, time and design.
3. Maintenance: It must be easily operated, and needs to be designed so that if an individual component failed, it merely poses a detrimental effect on other components and is within a reasonable maintenance budget.
4. Resilience: The structures must be alterable to serve new missions and attach to new sensors in the future, the pre-existing structures would allow them to be modified accordingly at ease.
5. Post-Modify: Even though our AUV was designed to flexibly cover many situations, we are also concerned about any unexpected failure. This element emphasizes a thorough understanding of this AUV design and first-hand experience in our inter-disciplined members’ abilities to think on their feet and solve unforeseen issues presented to them right on the spot.

Words cannot describe how excited and delighted we are to be joining this year's RoboSub competition. We believe this video is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about us, and how each of our members from different subteams contributes to preparation for this year's upcoming RoboSub.

For first-timers, RoboSub is an international underwater robotics competition where participating teams will develop an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) to perform underwater challenges and tasks.

Science and technology may physically allow our AUV to operate, but in reality, there is a lot more to that. Taking sciences aside, it is the contributions and sacrifices that our members are willing to make toward the team that is actually keeping our AUV sailing strong.

Have you ever heard the saying "knowledge has no value until it is shared"?

Here at SeaPup, it is one of our core beliefs that strengthens our commitment to publishing research.

Feel free to look at what we discovered in the attachment below.

We recently took our AUV for testing at the Chulabhorn Swimming Pool of Kasetsart University.

We took this opportunity to carefully observe, and collect data. Of which are of paramount importance for our vision and mission-planner team.
