📣 Call for Applications: Intensive Hybrid Course on the Prevention of Mass Atrocities and Human Rights Violations in the Context of Migration in ASEAN 🌏🕊️
Prorights Foundation, in partnership with the Faculty of Law (Chulalongkorn University), Nelson Mandela Centre (Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University), Peace Resource Collaborative Foundation (PRCF) International Detention Coalition (IDC), and Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities (AIPG) invite applications for an Intensive Hybrid Course on the Prevention of Mass Atrocities and Human Rights Violations in the Context of Migration in ASEAN. 📚✨
During the course, participants will explore key concepts and frameworks on mass atrocities and atrocity prevention, examine how conflict, discrimination, and instability drive forced migration and displacement in ASEAN, and discuss the role of ASEAN human rights bodies and National Human Rights Institutions. They will also analyse protection challenges facing refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons, and develop practical, prevention-oriented strategies in response. In addition, the course offers valuable opportunities to expand professional networks and exchange experiences with peers from across ASEAN.
If you are a Southeast Asian national working in government, intergovernmental organisations, academia, civil society, or a related professional field, you are warmly invited to submit an application. The programme will be conducted entirely in English 🇬🇧. Up to 25 participants will be selected to enable meaningful and interactive engagement throughout the course.
