Dusit Thani College recently hosted a large-scale MoU signing ceremony, bringing together ten leading hotels and two food service businesses in a collaborative effort to develop the next generation of talent for Thailand's tourism and hospitality industry.

The participating organisations include Maison Hotel Bangkok, Siam Mandarina Hotel, Food of Asia (ThaiBev), Iberry Group, and eight properties under Radisson Hotel Group (RHG): Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18, Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, Radisson Blu Resort Phuket Mai Khao Beach, Radisson Hotel Chateau de Bangkok, Radisson Hotel Clover Phuket Kata, Radisson Hotel Don Mueang Bangkok, Radisson Resort Layan Phuket, and Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit.

The 2026 Wai Kru Ceremony of Dusit Thani College once again passed in a warm and memorable atmosphere, as it has every year.

In addition to the traditional presentation of Wai Kru floral offerings to faculty members as an expression of gratitude and respect for the teachers who impart knowledge, in keeping with Thailand’s long-standing cultural heritage, this year’s ceremony also featured the pinning ceremony for the Student Council Committee for the 2026 academic year. The pin serves as a symbol of trust and represents the formal transfer of roles, duties, and responsibilities to student leaders, empowering them to serve as representatives of their fellow students and to help drive creative and beneficial activities for the wider community.

The event also included the presentation of certificates of recognition to students with outstanding academic achievements in each year of study, as well as to those who have brought distinction to the College through competitions at both national and international levels. These awards were presented in recognition of their dedication, talents, and accomplishments.

The ceremony truly reflected the saying: “Teachers shape individuals, individuals shape society, and a good society begins with a grateful heart.”

On 16 September 2026, Dusit Thani College participated in the certificate presentation ceremony recognising Dusit Thani College as an accredited Training Center and Assessment Center under the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA on TP) 2026. The ceremony was held at the Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok.

On this occasion, faculty members, alumni, and students of Dusit Thani College also received certificates as National Assessors (NA) and as individuals who had successfully completed occupational competency assessments as ASEAN Tourism Professionals (ATP) under the MRA on TP framework.

This certification reflects Dusit Thani College’s readiness and continuing role in developing tourism and hospitality professionals through training and competency assessment aligned with ASEAN standards. It also supports students, alumni, faculty members, and industry professionals in strengthening their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies, thereby enhancing their professional capabilities and opportunities for recognition across the ASEAN region.

Dusit Thani College students have once again proven their culinary excellence by bringing home awards from the Gourmet & Cuisine Young Chef 2026 competition, continuing an impressive record of success in the event year after year.

Organized by Gourmet & Cuisine, one of Thailand's leading food and lifestyle magazines, the competition was held for the fifth consecutive year, with the final round taking place on 19 September 2026 at Impact Culinova.

On this occasion, Dusit Thani College would like to congratulate its Culinary Arts students from both the Bangkok Campus and the Pattaya Education Center for their outstanding achievements.

We would like to commend the dedication and hard work of the students from both campuses, who trained diligently and prepared thoroughly for the competition. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Kathawut Thiantae and Mr. Jaturapon Charoenying, who supervised and coached the team from Dusit Thani College Pattaya Education Center, as well as the faculty members of the Culinary & Academic Competitions Department, who mentored and trained the team from the Bangkok Campus. This is another proud achievement for Dusit Thani College, having been selected as one of the five Model Higher Education Institutions in the Student Loan Fund (SLF) Good Deeds Recognition Program 2026.

To qualify for this recognition, institutions must meet the following criteria:

1. Participate in the operations of the Student Loan Fund and comply with all regulations, rules, requirements, and resolutions set forth by the Fund Committee.
2. Demonstrate effective management of student loan operations, including loan administration, repayment promotion campaigns, as well as public relations and information dissemination related to the Fund.
3. Encourage and instill in student borrowers a commitment to participating in activities that contribute to sustainable social development and community benefit.
4. Continuously implement public service projects or volunteer initiatives that promote social responsibility.

Let's send our best wishes to Mr. Nakarin Jaroonpunvanich (Jerry), a Culinary Arts student from Dusit Thani College, as he prepares to represent Thailand at the 48th WorldSkills Competition: WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 in the Cookery skill category. The competition will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, and will run through 28 September 2026.

On 15 September 2026, Dusit Thani College and Avocados Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in education, workforce development, and food innovation.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Dusit Thani College by Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, Rector of Dusit Thani College, and Ms. ​Pichaya Noranitiphadungkarn, Director of International Relations and Accreditations, while representing Avocados Australia were Mr. Brad Rodgers, Director for Western Australia, and Mr. KC Liew, General Manager, Southeast Asia. The ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Mr. Pablo Kang, Ambassador of Australia to Thailand.

On the same day, with support from Avocados Australia, Dusit Thani College hosted the Australian Fruits Culinary Competition 2026, an internal culinary competition designed to select student representatives from Thailand to compete at the international level in Malaysia from 1–4 November 2026.

The competition was judged by the Rector and Director of International Relations and Accreditations, Dusit Thani College, Mr. Brad Rodgers, Mr. KC Liew, Chef Piyachart Puttawong, Chef Poohrin Pattanawiriyawanich, celebrity chefs and distinguished alumnus of Dusit Thani College, Ajarn Woottisak Simhong, Director of Food and Beverage Concept, Dusit Thani College, and Ajarn Piyawit Tantiwet, Instructor of Dusit Thani College.

The five student finalists, Ms. Thaw Zin Tun, Mr. Swan Htet Htoo, Ms. Apichaya Pubyom, Mr. Nattawat Theeraloetphanit, and Ms. Chereen Sukphat, were challenged to create original dishes inspired by Southeast Asian cuisine using premium Australian fruits as key ingredients, including avocados, stone fruits, and table grapes. The competition aimed to showcase the versatility and potential of these fruits in contemporary culinary applications.

Following an intense competition, Ms. Apichaya Pubyom, Mr. Nattawat Theeraloetphanit, and Ms. Chereen Sukphat were awarded first, second, and third place, respectively. H.E. the Ambassador of Australia to Thailand presented certificates of achievement to all five finalists and competition winners.
