Dusit Thani College alumni receive Thai SELECT Award 2026, reinforcing the College’s reputation for producing industry excellence.
Recently, the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, presented the Thai SELECT Award 2026 to 182 outstanding Thai restaurants across the country that met the program’s quality standards. Held under the theme “The Power of Thai Taste, The Value of Trust,” the award recognizes entrepreneurs who preserve the quality, authenticity, and unique identity of Thai cuisine while contributing to the food value chain, from farmers and producers to restaurateurs, consumers, and the tourism sector. Thai cuisine remains one of Thailand’s strongest cultural assets and an important attraction that draws visitors from around the world.
Dusit Thani College is proud to celebrate the achievements of three distinguished alumni, whose restaurants were among the award recipients this year.
The first is Ms. Sirorat Thowtho, owner of M-O-K Restaurant in Ubon Ratchathani and a graduate of the College’s 2nd class in Kitchen and Restaurant Management. Her restaurant received the prestigious Thai SELECT 3-Star designation, which recognizes “Exquisite Thai Flavors, Exceptional Dining Experiences.” Notably, only two restaurants nationwide were awarded this highest level of recognition.
Meanwhile, Ms. Mathuros Wongpradoo, owner of Nimitr Restaurant in Bangkok and a graduate of the 4th class in Kitchen and Restaurant Management, and Mr. Siripong Chutitadakul, owner of Baan Kaeng Restaurant in Chonburi and a graduate of the 14th class in Kitchen Management and Culinary Arts, were both awarded the Thai SELECT 1-Star designation, recognizing “Authentic Thai Taste with Trusted Quality.” Their restaurants were among the 157 establishments nationwide to receive this honor.
These accomplishments reflect not only the talent and dedication of the alumni themselves but also Dusit Thani College’s commitment to developing skilled professionals who help preserve and elevate Thai culinary heritage on both national and international stages.
Looks like it's time to plan a culinary journey and try all three restaurants!
