Today (July 30, 2026), a special rite is held to mark the fiftieth day since HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati's death.
The duty of the Princess expanded from human welfare to securing a balanced coexistence between wild elephants and local communities. The Princess was appointed by Their Majesties the King and Queen to be the Chair of the committee for the Bajrasudha Gajanurak Project. The name of this project literally means "an elixir that strengthens elephants to be as strong as diamonds."
It focuses on the welfare of both wild elephants and humans alike, ensuring a balance where both species can comfortably coexist, particularly in five eastern provinces of Thailand: Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Sa Kaeo.
The project creates three distinct zones—forest conservation zones for elephants, buffer zones, and community zones—to solve the problems at their root causes in a sustainable manner.

พระราชกรณียกิจของสมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าพัชรกิติยาภา นเรนทิราเทพยวดี กรมหลวงราชสาริณีสิริพัชร มหาวัชรราชธิดามีมากมายนับตั้งแต่สวัสดิภาพของประชาชนไปจนการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสมดุลระหว่างชาวบ้านกับช้างป่า พระองค์ทรงได้รับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณจากพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวและสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินีให้เป็นองค์ประธานโครงการ "พัชรสุธาคชานุรักษ์" อันมีความหมายว่า "น้ำทิพย์รักษาช้างให้แข็งแกร่งยืนยงดุจเพชร"
โครงการนี้มุ่งเน้นสวัสดิภาพของทั้งช้างป่าและชาวบ้าน ตลอดจนสร้างสมดุลในการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างปลอดภัย เน้นพื้นที่ป่ารอยต่อ ๕ จังหวัด ได้แก่ ฉะเชิงเทรา ชลบุรี ระยอง จันทบุรี และสระแก้ว
พื้นที่ตามแนวทางของโครงการแบ่งออกเป็น ๓ ส่วน ได้แก่ พื้นที่ป่าอนุรักษ์ หรือ "พื้นที่ชั้นใน" พื้นที่แนวกันชน หรือ "พื้นที่ชั้นกลาง" และพื้นที่ชุมชน หรือ "พื้นที่ชั้นนอก" สามารถแก้ไขปัญหาในระดับฐานรากได้อย่างยั่งยืน
