Last week our 2nd year students visited the award winning THAI Catering Services where approximately 90,000 meals per day are prepared and served on over 60 airlines. THAI Catering Services is renowned for its innovation and excellent customer satisfaction, especially for the high quality and reliable in-flight services.

The students had a golden opportunity to see the operation which runs 24 hours a day and many questions were answered; especially on the handling of locally-produced ingredients in comparison to imported meat, vegetables, dairy products and beverages. Waste management was discussed and new strategies for providing an outstanding service to meet the customer requirements were also explored.

KITMAN would like to sincerely thank THAI Catering Services for providing the students with a comprehensive understanding of operational management for tourism and hospitality as part of the Service Operation Management class.
