This event aims to strengthen interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange across transportation, architecture, urban planning, public health, and policy—supporting Chulalongkorn University’s strategic goal of Academic and Research Excellence toward a Global Innovation University.

Dr. Yosuke Uchiyama, Research Fellow at the Chulalongkorn University Transportation Institute (CUTI), was invited to speak at Mobility Innovation Week Japan 2025, organised by the Mobility Innovation Alliance Japan and ITS Japan, and held from 10 to 14 November 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.

During the week, Dr. Uchiyama participated in an invited session of the Mobility Innovation Workshop 2025 at the Convention Hall, Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo / UTokyo.

In this session, he delivered a presentation titled “Social Impacts and Challenges of Shared Mobility: The Role of Transport Gig Work in Creating Sustainable Value.” He discussed his ongoing comparative research on shared mobility and transport gig work, highlighting the social and institutional challenges shaping labour conditions and sustainable value creation across Southeast Asia including Thailand and Japan.

Dr. Uchiyama’s participation contributed to strengthening CUTI’s international engagement and advancing collaborative dialogue on mobility governance and sustainable transport transitions.
