We are delighted to share a wonderful achievement by one of our Year 4 students, Piti (Year 4W), who recently excelled at the Tokyo International Music Festival and Competition 2026.

On Saturday, 16 May 2026, Piti performed in the Grade 2 Piano category (Ages 8–9) at the Aksra Theatre King Power. Demonstrating exceptional dedication, technical skill, and musicality, Piti was awarded the highest honor in his category: Champion.

Following this outstanding performance, Piti has qualified to advance to the Final Round, which will be held in Tokyo, Japan.

We commend Piti for his hard work and commitment to his musical talents outside of the classroom. Achieving this level of success requires immense discipline and practice, and we are incredibly proud to see our students thrive in their personal pursuits.

Please join us in congratulating Piti on this marvelous milestone and wishing him the very best as he prepares for the finals in Tokyo.

Year 8 students had a fantastic time making their Pop Art sculptures during the Year 8 Art Days. Students worked in small groups preparing work for the upcoming art show in June. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication skills, as well as showing their skills in building 3-dimensional forms. We are looking forward to seeing their completed artworks very soon.

Year 5 and Year 7 students participated in the Thai Buddy Programme, where they worked collaboratively to support younger learners in developing their Thai language skills. The older students guided their buddies in correct pronunciation and helped them build simple sentences with confidence. Through this peer-learning experience, students strengthened both their communication skills and their understanding of the language.

In Mathematics, Reception T has been learning about numbers to 20 and how they are composed. The children have explored what needs to be added to 10 to make numbers such as 11, 12, 13 and beyond, helping them develop a deeper understanding of numbers.

The children have taken part in a range of fun activities to build their mathematical skills. They enjoyed counting dots and matching them to the correct numbers using pegs, practising writing numbers 1 to 20, and using ladybird activities to explore addition by counting spots and finding the total.

These hands-on experiences have helped the children develop confidence with counting, number recognition and early addition skills, while encouraging problem-solving and independent learning.

We had another Open Day today for prospective families. I was so proud to show them around our campus which is looking so well cared for thanks to our wonderful gardener and grounds people.

Many families commented on the beautiful natural environment as well as the calm ambient learning spaces around the school.

Thank you to Ya Ya in 4G who performed a wonderful ballet routine and to Jump who opened the event with his fantastic piano skills. These students personify the commitment and effort that many of our Charter students apply to their learning and interests.

During our previous IPC unit, Art: Patterns, Year 2 completed Art Task 5 and explored printing patterns using leaves. The students went outside to collect a variety of leaves in different shapes and sizes.

Once we arrived back in the classroom, the students used rocks to print the leaves onto plain white cotton. They worked well as a group to produce a brilliant final piece of leaf printing. It was such a fun lesson.

Our Year 6 students — Miracle, Dorrya, Zeimii, Grace, Ping An, Akin, Smile, Green, Jasper, and Andre — had a wonderful time participating in the TISAC Primary Choral Day at Bangkok Prep!

It was a fantastic opportunity for them to sing together with students from other international schools, learn new songs, and perform as part of a large choir.

The students represented Charter beautifully with their enthusiasm, confidence, and teamwork throughout the day. Well done, everyone!

We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Esther, who recently competed in the Vienna Mozart Philharmonic International Music Competition.

Esther delivered a stunning performance, securing Second Place with an impressive score of 89—falling just a single point short of the top spot.
