– My Internship at CP ALL✨
Hi! I’m Alisa Nopphayoonkunwong, a fourth-year student at Thammasat University.
This summer, I had the opportunity to intern at CP ALL in the O2O Food Merchandising Department. My main responsibilities focused on Chilled Food, Frozen Food, and especially Pre-order Food on the 7-Eleven application.
Before starting my internship, I was not exactly sure what working in a large organization would be like. However, this experience gave me the chance to step outside the classroom and understand how food products and campaigns are actually developed, selected, and brought to customers.
🧡 What I Worked On
🍱 O2O Food & Merchandising – I learned how the merchandising process works, from looking at products and market needs to considering whether products would be suitable for customers on the 7-Eleven application.
🥢 Product Development & Food Tasting – One of the most interesting parts of my internship was joining meetings with suppliers and trying different food products. I had the opportunity to give my opinions about the taste, product concept, and possible improvements. It was interesting to see that choosing a product is not only about whether it tastes good, but also whether it matches customer needs and can work in the market.
📱 Pre-order Food Campaigns – I mainly worked with Pre-order Food, where products are promoted through the 7-Eleven application. I learned how campaigns and products need to be planned carefully to attract customers and make the ordering experience convenient.
🎪 Campaign & Booth Activities – I also had the opportunity to participate in pre-order booths and campaign activities, including seasonal campaigns such as Mother’s Day and the Chinese Festival. Being involved in the actual ex*****on helped me understand the difference between planning something on paper and seeing it happen with real customers.
🧡 From Classroom to Real Work
One of the biggest things I learned from this internship was how different real working life can be from university projects.
At university, we usually have time to prepare presentations, research, and assignments. At work, things can move much faster, and communication becomes very important. I had to learn how to communicate my ideas clearly, work with different people, and adapt to the way a large organization operates.
I also faced a personal challenge during my internship because I studied in an international-school environment, so I was more used to communicating and working with materials in English. At CP ALL, I had to become more comfortable working in Thai and communicating in a professional Thai working environment. Although it was challenging at first, it became one of the most valuable things I learned.
This experience also helped me connect what I learned at university with real business situations, especially in areas such as marketing, consumer behavior, product development, and event management.
🤝🏻 People Made the Experience Special
Apart from the work itself, one of my favorite parts of this internship was getting to know the people around me.
I was lucky to work with a supportive team and friendly colleagues who were always willing to explain things, answer my questions, and let me experience different parts of the work. I also made new friends during the internship, which made the experience even more memorable.
From my first day until the end, I learned that an internship is not only about gaining work experience. It is also about meeting new people, learning from others, and becoming more confident in yourself.
🧡 What I Took Away
This internship taught me that even small decisions behind a product can involve a lot of research, discussion, teamwork, and consideration of customers.
I learned to look at products from a business perspective rather than only as a consumer. I also became more confident in communicating my opinions, working with different people, and adapting to situations outside my comfort zone.
Most importantly, my time at CP ALL gave me a better understanding of what it is like to work in a large organization and showed me how classroom knowledge can be applied to real business operations.
I’m truly grateful for everyone who supported me throughout this journey and for all the experiences, challenges, and memories I gained along the way. 💚
